UIDAI planning new Aadhaar rule in December
New cards may only show a photograph and a QR code, removing personal details like name and address

Why?
To stop misuse, protect your data, and make offline verification safer.

Your info will still be accessible only via proper authentication through the new Aadhaar app, which also supports facial recognition and selective sharing.
