📍Airtel has accused Tejas Networks of causing severe 900 MHz interference in Rajasthan.

🔘Airtel says Tejas filters at BSNL sites are leaking emissions beyond the 800 MHz band, spilling into Airtel’s 900 MHz UL (890–900).

🔘Airtel reports:
• –90 to –95 dBm interference, even with Airtel sites switched off.
• Maharashtra (with proper filters) shows a clean –110 dBm noise floor.
• Issue active since Dec 2024.
• Multiple joint tests done.
• No corrective action yet.

🔘Impact:
- Airtel claims users are suffering and Tejas has not fixed it despite repeated directives from WPC and DoT.

Memory Shortage to Worsen … DRAM Inventory Period Shortens from 3.3 Weeks to 2.7 Weeks

The semiconductor super-boom driven by investments in artificial intelligence (AI) is deepening the memory shortage.

According to market research firm TrendForce on the 23rd, the average global DRAM inventory at the beginning of the fourth quarter stood at 2.7 weeks. This means that once produced, products are sold out in roughly 19 days, a further decrease compared to the third quarter (3.3 weeks).

By company, SK Hynix’s average inventory was only 2 weeks, and Samsung Electronics’ was 4 weeks. In terms of the decline, Samsung’s inventory fell by as much as 2 weeks from an average of 6 weeks.

Given that the industry views a healthy inventory level as around 8 weeks, this means products are selling so briskly that inventory does not even reach half of normal levels. This appears to be due to a combination of growing AI server replacement demand from global big tech companies and disrupted product supply caused by sanctions against China.

A semiconductor industry official said, “Purchasing companies are practically offering higher prices almost every day,” adding, “Meanwhile, semiconductor manufacturers are conservatively managing their production capacity, so the shortage could intensify further.”

Kim Dong-won, a researcher at KB Securities, projected, “The supply-demand imbalance in DRAM could continue for at least the next two years.”
