VPN Should Be Banned In India: Parliamentary Panel

VPN allows a user to stay anonymous on the internet and do anything and everything that can be done on the web

According to a report from MediaNama, the committee has asked the Ministry of Home Affairs to strengthen its ability on identifying users who are hiding with the help of VPN and are on the dark web.

Ultimately, the committee wants the government to block the use of VPNs in India with the help of a ‘coordination mechanism’ in collaboration with the international agencies.

Zomato discontinues grocery delivery

Recently listed and one of India’s biggest online food delivery platforms will stop delivering groceries from this week. Zomato is shutting down its grocery delivery business for the second time in two years.

The company said that it had taken this decision due to infrastructure gaps in the highly competitive online grocery segment. It added that recently acquired Grofers will generate better outcomes for its shareholders than the in-house grocery division. Meanwhile, shares of the company were up 0.9% today.
