Idea: Dunder Mifflin for 2023
A SaaS platform that helps small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) optimize their printing operations. The platform would offer features such as print job management, cost tracking, and document storage and retrieval. The platform could also integrate with existing printer fleets to provide real-time monitoring and automatic supply replenishment.
Additionally, the platform could offer recommendations for optimizing printing operations based on the data gathered from the SMBs' printing activity. This could include suggestions for reducing paper and ink usage, and identifying which printers are being underutilized.
This niche is often overlooked in the SaaS market, and with many SMBs struggling to manage their printing operations efficiently, there is a need for a cost-effective and user-friendly solution. By providing a SaaS platform that simplifies printing management and reduces costs, this startup could potentially capture a significant portion of this market.

I recently stumbled upon a podcast from Naval Ravikant (founder of AngelList and investor) that is 3:35 hours long. There are tons of insights, so I will split the highlights into several parts.
Part 1, here we go:
1. Seek wealth not money. You should want to become wealthy, not rich. Generate wealth that will work for you while you sleep. π©
2. Donβt be the top 1% at one thing. Be in the 25th percentile at 3 things. Combine stuff to make yourself unique. π§
3. You wonβt get rich renting out your time! Ex. doctors and lawyers β> improve their lifestyles with increased paychecks. π
There are only 24 hours a day you can rent out and if you are sick, not in a mood, or on vacation - you donβt earn.
4. Arm yourself with a specific knowledge - make yourself irreplaceable.
Not only for your employer but also for society. If you provide society with smth valuable that only you can give, it will reward you disproportionately.
5. Learn how to build things and learn how to sell them. It is easier to first learn how to build stuff and then learn how to sell it than vice versa.
In other words, it is easier to teach a developer how to sell than a salesperson how to write code.
Thatβs it - stay tuned for more β>

AI sets new limits for humanity
Releasing more AI-related work (such as GPT-4 and Stable Diffusion) and projects show us new limits of automation and process optimization. These projects will automate more of today's jobs. Are we ready for that scenario? We aren't yet.
From today's perspective, it's both good and bad. It's good because humans can spend fewer resources on the same amount of work. It's bad because some people will be looking for new jobs and won't be able to find those: why paying someone for doing the routine work if a machine can do it much cheaper and faster?
To tackle the bad part, the humanity should evolve: in its beliefs, systems they build, concepts they operate.
The "evolve" part is the difficult one. To slightly initiate on that matter: humans require money to operate daily. To receive money, humans should bring value to the society. What does society perceive as value? Is it a human that can do some work for others or the human itself? If it's the the first option, a machine can bring that value for much less resources. If it's the latter option, we have a chance.

Idea: A warehouse management system (WMS) that uses sensors and real-time data
Traditionally, warehouse managers have relied on manual processes to track inventory and manage the flow of goods in and out of the warehouse. However, this process can be time-consuming and error-prone, leading to waste, overstocking, and stockouts.
A WMS that uses sensors and real-time data to optimize inventory levels and reduce waste can solve these problems. The system uses sensors, such as RFID tags or barcode scanners, to track the movement of goods in and out of the warehouse, and sends this data to a centralized database. This allows warehouse managers to monitor inventory levels in real-time, and make informed decisions about when to reorder, when to restock, and when to retire outdated stock.
In addition to optimizing inventory levels, a WMS that uses sensors and real-time data can also help to reduce waste. The system can monitor expiration dates, quality control, and other factors that affect the shelf life of goods, and alert managers when it's time to remove or dispose of products that are no longer fit for sale. This can help to reduce waste, minimize spoilage, and improve sustainability.
Traditionally, warehouse managers have relied on manual processes to track inventory and manage the flow of goods in and out of the warehouse. However, this process can be time-consuming and error-prone, leading to waste, overstocking, and stockouts.
