Idea: Live portraits
A tool that takes a collection of photos and makes videos with the people moving, looking, smiling there. As a reference, recall Hogwarts' portraits. There are such tools, but they lack better quality and don't allow uploading a collection of photos to make a video or many videos at once.

Idea: Remember yourself
An app that randomly sends you a notification every week to take a photo within 60 seconds. The app compiles your photos into a collage.

Hey, I am Ajeet, a fresher software developer.

My idea is:
A platform to ask, answer and connect with the people in locality.

Problem Statement :-
1. It's always difficult to adjust in new city, as everything is new and unknown to you, and google can't answer your smallest queries.

2. Most of the social platforms connect people irrespective of their location, and the people can only connect virtually, which is always a limited interaction.

3. Meeting like minded people in same locality, is always tough. Due to which, people are becoming more isolated, and social media centric for virtual interactions.

Some situations, when we move to new city :-
1. Finding it difficult to find people to play your favourite game, like basketball, football etc.
2. Want to get suggestions for places to explore.
3. Lacking opportunities to connect with new peoples.
4. Want to explore the city, yet no plans for the weekend.

Solutions :-
1. Ask people in your locality, interested people will show up in comment, and dm them for your further plans.

2. Share your question, Asking about good places to visit, and also if someone is interested to accompany you. Then, connect with interested people in the app itself.

3. Ask, what you want to know. Answer, what you already knows. Connect with people who matches your interest.

4. Join the community hosted events and trips to meet new people and make impactful connections.

Challenges to be faced while working on this idea :--
1. Building credibility infront of other person, before meeting in person.
2. Getting high number of people from specific localities for good performance of the app.
3. Hosting offline community events in different localities.

If someone is interested to contribute to this project, dm me at @IamAjeet2

Idea: A courses builder
An app to build interactive courses you want to distribute. To eliminate difficulties and time working on a set of various tools. I.e. design, texts, video, and audio recording.

And a related idea: a courses platform
This is a distribution channel for courses, so one won't bother about marketing any course. If it's valuable, the platform will sell it. It's something like Gumroad and other 1000 similar platforms, but in this case it should actually promote/sell the content to the target audience.
But it's a lot more complicated. You need to attract course authors(relatively easy, e.g., use existing courses and ask authors if you can distribute on your platform) and also you need to attract more users, which is way more difficult.

Landing page generator

Some time ago, I tried making landing page templates to assemble a simple landing page for my product quickly. But as you may know, making templates can take a while if you want various colors, buttons, and blocks.

I want to show you what I'm currently working on. It's a tool for creating landing pages. Why? Whenever I want to set up a simple page for my product or services, it takes a while. So either I code it myself, or I use some website builder and learn how to use it.

Both options are time-consuming(the 2nd one may be faster, though). Ideally, I want to press a button and see, for example, 20 various templates to choose the best. Then, I can adjust font, colors, and other minor details if necessary.
Currently, the tool generates the Hero sections only. More sections are to be added.

See visual examples here. What are your struggles if you have a landing page or created one before?

Idea: Article to Instagram image
Many people use Instagram as an additional or main source in their marketing. It turns out the process isn't convenient because it's time-consuming to convert useful information into images. You should google for the right image dimensions for Instagram, then design those, fit huge amounts of info there. What if we had a tool for that?
You put information there and the tool converts it to the images that can be posted on Instagram. A few clicks instead of a few hours for someone.

Idea: Food by subscription
A subscription-based service that delivers locally-sourced, pre-made meals to customers' homes. The service could work with local farms and businesses to source ingredients and prepare the meals, and customers could choose from a variety of meal plans to fit their dietary needs and preferences.

Drop a niche name in the comments, I'll reply with some ideas for it. For example, 3d printing, website builders, travel. The more specific you're, the better.

Idea: a location-specific peer-to-peer services
A platform that connects people with local service providers, such as plumbers, electricians, and handymen. The platform could allow customers to easily find and book services, and it could also provide tools and resources for service providers to manage their schedules and communicate with customers.

πŸ’‘How Did Revolut Co-Founder Come Up With an Idea?

A question that is popping up in my mind recently is whether it is crucial to be an expert in a field you wanna start a business/startup. Does the whole thing about building companies come down to this one simple thing: having an X amount of years of expertise, recognizing the "pains" and executing the solution appropriately?

There is a second part to the issue being young people without that much experience don't have the so-called "curse of knowledge" bias so they can come up with fresh and bold ideas without giving too much thought if that can actually work. I have a great example to prove this thesis.

How did the idea of Revolut come about? In one of the interviews, the co-founder Nikolay Storonsky told a story about the origin of Revolut. πŸ’¬

He was a stock market broker at Lehman Brothers 🏦 so he was pretty close to the financial sector so to speak. He was irritated by the number of fees that banks were cutting from each client's transaction. He thought to himself what if existed an international user-friendly bank with 0% commissions and fees.

In order to make the idea happen, he gathered a team and consulted one of the best financial advisors in banking and transaction topics. After a couple of hours of intense conversation, the advisor said that it is impossible to create such a bank (pretty ironic, huh?).

Storonsky didn't give up, instead, he β€œbought this guy out” for a couple of days in order to get insights about transaction policies, walkarounds, etc. in the banking sector. They gathered all the necessary infos and started brainstorming potential solutions. It took them 3 weeks to come up with one which seemed to meet all the legal criteria. They called up the advisor guy again, laid out all the cards - showed him what they have come up with and whether they are not missing anything.

🀯 He was stunned and said, "yes, that should work”.

He was stunned not because the idea was brilliant, but because he couldn’t see the solution they came up with without having years of experience. πŸ’Ό

It turns out, sometimes to come up with something disruptive you gotta distance yourself from the expertise, gather information, and build the actual thing.

I believe, it is a great example of human creative spirit. No matter how regulated a certain industry is, it is possible to create value there. Obviously, you have to be somewhat familiar with the industry (Storonsky was a broker after all), not necessarily be an expert already.

Dream, build, spread. πŸš€

Here's Gabriel who wants to understand the problems that current ideators / founders face(it's hard to start, right? Or, get to be heard? Or, connect with like-minded peers or investors). He wants to build a social network specifically for folks like us. Let's help him in this survey.

4. Medieval armor reproduction
5. Heirloom seed farming
6. Taxidermy
7. High-end audio equipment manufacturing
8. Vintage and collectible toy restoration
9. Gourmet mushroom cultivation
10. Exotic and rare plant nursery.
11. Custom doll-making.
12. Luxury chicken coops.

5 niche problems to solve:

1. Developing a device that helps people with visual impairments navigate unfamiliar spaces more easily.
2. Creating a subscription service that delivers locally-sourced, organic produce to consumers.
3. Developing a software platform that helps small business owners manage and streamline their operations.
4. Creating a mobile app that connects pet owners with trusted, local pet sitters and dog walkers.
5. Developing a line of eco-friendly, biodegradable packaging materials for use in the food and beverage industry.

One bonus more niche problem:
- developing a specialized piece of software that helps professional ice sculptors design and create complex, three-dimensional sculptures. This software could include tools for modeling and simulating the sculpting process, as well as advanced algorithms for optimizing the use of ice blocks and predicting the final shape of the sculpture. It would be a valuable tool for ice sculptors, who often have to work with challenging materials and time constraints.

Idea: NFT marketplace

There're not enough marketplaces for NFT. This one allows you to create an NFT but also:
1. It creates a crypto currency for you automatically. So you can share this information with other people that may invest in it.
2. It creates a page for your NFT with a signup for your newsletter form. You don't necessarily need to have a newsletter. The platform will send the updates to the people who subscribed. What kind of updates? Just your NFT creation. Then, reminders to invest in your crypto currency and buy the NFT.
3. It can link this page to your custom domain. Only ".eth" domains are supported.
4. You can receive payments in your own crypto currency which is automatically created. You won't be able to convert it to the real money, but it's not what NFT for.

This platform will use a blockchain to empower managing crypto assets at scale. The UI uses websockets and GraphQL to help AI models to achieve better results in computer vision.

Idea: analyzing data in clinical psychology

This platform could help psychologists and other mental health professionals in this field quickly and easily process and analyze large amounts of complex data, allowing them to make more accurate and informed decisions. The platform could include features such as data visualization tools, statistical analysis tools, and machine learning algorithms designed specifically for psychological data. By providing these specialized tools and services, the platform could help psychologists and other mental health professionals better understand and treat their patients, improving the effectiveness of their work.

Idea: Coffee roaster SaaS

A SaaS platform for boutique coffee roasters that allows them to manage their inventory, roast profiles, and customer orders in one place. The platform could also provide roasting recommendations based on the specific characteristics of the beans and the desired flavor profile, as well as integration with shipping and fulfillment services. This would make it easier for small-scale coffee roasters to manage their business and produce high-quality, consistent roasts for their customers.

You may consider this idea in a different level of "nicheness"(scale):
1. Coffee roaster inventory management software only. Or, choose any other variation: customer profiles only, order statistics, etc.
2. Coffee roaster SaaS for a specific location, e.g., your city, street, county, country.
3. Coffee roaster SaaS for small businesses only. Or, even more specific - for mobile coffee shops / roasters.
