📌 Information for Users Experiencing Missing TTS Voice in IGO Primo / Nextgen / LUNA

In most cases, this issue is caused by the Google Speech synthesizer not being enabled as the default option.

✅ What to do:

1. Go to your device settings.


2. Find the "Speech rate" or "Text-to-Speech output" section.


3. Select Google Text-to-Speech as the default engine.


4. If this option is not available, download the Speech Recognition and Synthesis app from Google Play and activate it in the settings.

🔄 How to Move iGO Content to a Memory Card?

From time to time, our clients ask how to properly transfer iGO navigation files to external storage. That’s why we’ve prepared a video demonstration of the entire process. 🎥
The video isn’t new, but the method of transferring data remains the same to this day. 💾

⚠️ IMPORTANT!
We do not recommend moving content to a memory card unless absolutely necessary.
This approach was relevant back when smartphones and tablets had only 8–16 GB of internal storage 📱, forcing users to either delete parts of the maps or move the content to an SD card.

❗️Why you shouldn't do this now:

– Memory cards are slower than internal storage 🐢
– The app may freeze or lag during use ⚙️
– Cheap SD cards can fail at the worst possible moment ⛔️
– It may cause additional issues during your trip 🚛

✅ Our recommendation:

If your device has enough space, install the navigation software on internal storage. Use the memory card for personal files like videos or music instead 🎬🎶

To avoid questions about what global_cfg is, here is a brief explanation:

The global_cfg.zip file contains essential country-specific data, such as speed limits, national flags, warning signs, TMC, icons, and other useful information.

It is highly recommended to always use the latest version of this file. Using outdated maps may result in missing signs, alerts, and other important elements in newer map versions.

Place the "global_cfg.zip" archive into the following folder:
"IGO/content/global_cfg"
Do not unzip the file, and confirm replacement if prompted.

As many of our clients know, the iGO 64-bit navigation packages with Wal and Pongo skins come with a rather limited set of color schemes. Today, we're addressing this by adding 30+ new day and night color schemes for each version! 🎨🗺️

🔧 Installation Instructions:

Separate archives have been created for each build — one for the Wal skin version and another for the Pongo version. The installation process is identical for both:

1. Extract the scheme folder from the appropriate archive and place it into the content folder of your navigation software. Confirm merging and file replacement when prompted.


2. Each archive also contains a ux folder — copy it into the root directory of your navigation setup, again confirming the merge and replacement:

For iGO 64-bit (skin by Wal) — this is the IGO_Avic folder

For iGO 64-bit (skin by Pongo) — this is the IGO_Basar folder

Dear drivers,

We are pleased to inform you that our IGO Nextgen Premium project is continuously evolving. We regularly add new features, plugins, branding, and other improvements. As the software grows, so do its requirements for your device's RAM (operating memory).

While we continuously optimize the system to enhance performance, you can also manually adjust memory usage for better stability on lower-end devices. To do this, open the IGO_PAL folder and modify the sys.txt file as shown in the attached screenshot:

Recommended for devices with 2–4 GB of RAM.
If you've experienced audio issues or unexpected crashes, this setting should help resolve them.
For low-end devices, we also recommend disabling terrain and 3D buildings to improve stability.
If needed, you can completely remove them by navigating to IGO_PAL/content/ and deleting all files in the dem and building subfolders.


2. max_memory=314572800
This is the default value set in our standard configuration.
It is designed for modern devices with 6 GB of RAM or more.
Considering that in 2025 most of our users are using tablets such as Samsung Tab A7 Lite, A8, A9, Lenovo Tab M8, M9, M11 Plus, and smartphones with 6 GB+ RAM — this value provides optimal performance.
It allows full use of terrain features, 3D buildings, and a large number of POIs on the map without compromising system stability.

For 64-bit builds, which are designed for the latest processors and devices with 8 GB of RAM or more, no upper memory limit is set — the program will use as much memory as it needs for smooth operation.

Dear Drivers,

Even in 2025, we still receive inquiries from users with tablets running Android 4–7, with only 512 MB or 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage, half of which is occupied by the system. Of course, we do have solutions for such "veterans" — including a special version of Sygic Truck available in the Sygic Pack Premium, and IGO Primo can be installed on Android 7.

However, if you want to use a modern, fully functional navigation system with online traffic, weather updates, an extended POI database, terrain view, and more — it’s time to upgrade your device. We recommend a tablet with at least 6 GB of RAM, ideally 8 GB.
If you're a long-haul driver, it's not appropriate to use an outdated family tablet and then blame the app for poor performance. Navigation is a vital part of your work, and cutting costs here is simply disrespecting yourself.

‼️ Stop buying cheap Chinese devices!
Enough with ordering budget navigation tablets from AliExpress. Trying to save money this way only creates more problems. The most critical part of any navigation setup is the GPS receiver. If you’ve purchased a “navigator” or tablet for $50–$100, that only shows a lack of understanding of how tech pricing works.

❗ Why do cheap devices perform so poorly?

1. GPS Receiver
These devices use the cheapest GPS modules without support for satellite systems like GLONASS and BeiDou, with very weak signal reception. Any issues with inaccurate positioning are caused by the hardware — not the app.

2. RAM / Storage / Processor
Budget tablets often use slow eMMC storage (up to 400 MB/s), while quality devices are equipped with UFS memory (up to 2100 MB/s). The same goes for RAM and processors — cheap models have the weakest specs, which lead to slow map rendering, freezes, and app crashes.

3. Operating System
Many Chinese "navigators" run custom or stripped-down versions of Android, which cause compatibility and stability issues.

All of these factors make cheap devices unreliable and stressful to use on the road.
If you’ve bought one of these — you must have strong nerves. But remember: every navigation app depends entirely on your device’s processor, RAM, internal storage, and GPS module.
If something lags or crashes — the problem lies in your hardware, not the software!

We’ve even seen cases where people tried to save money by purchasing the Xiaomi Pad SE WiFi, which doesn't even have a GPS receiver. That’s a textbook example of a poor buying decision.
