We have repeatedly encountered cases where customers try to save money on a navigation tablet by purchasing second-hand devices for around 22$, only to later face problems and seek our assistance. Remember: the cheap option often costs twice as much in the end.
This kind of false economy can only cause you trouble. For a long-haul driver abroad, reliable navigation and a high-quality device are essential for safety and comfort on the road. If your navigation system lacks country-specific legal warnings, you are at serious risk of receiving fines. And if you rely on a cheap Chinese Android head unit from AliExpress or a low-cost navigator, you simply cannot expect stable performance.
🚫 Avoid buying cheap head units! Your device directly affects both your convenience and your safety. However, it’s common to see Android head units selling for 5000 UAH, but with hardware equivalent to a 2013 tablet!
We particularly warn against cheap Android head units. Many Chinese manufacturers offer attractive prices, but these devices often come with:
❌ A stripped-down version of Android with limited functionality
❌ A weak processor, resulting in poor performance
❌ A low-quality GPS receiver, leading to inaccurate location tracking
👉 Remember: Navigation accuracy depends on the GPS receiver, not the app itself. The app only processes the data it receives.
🔹 The best solution is a high-quality tablet from Samsung or Lenovo, which are equipped with reliable GPS modules.

We have updated the system records for IGO Nextgen Premium to improve the speed and stability of GPS data reception. (screenshot 1) This update primarily enhances the performance of entry-level and mid-range devices that do not support GLONASS, BeiDou, or Galileo. Additionally, adjustments were made to ensure accurate positioning without relying on local Wi-Fi or 4G networks.
⚠️ Attention! On the first launch, for more precise location accuracy, please start the application with geolocation enabled while outdoors or inside your vehicle. Avoid obstacles such as concrete walls, tunnels, etc., that may interfere with the GPS signal.
We also updated the Branding data and added functionality to display branded POIs when zooming in on the map. (screenshot 2)
If you have doubts about the performance of your GPS receiver, you can install the GPS Test application to check signal quality. (screenshot 3)
From the "GPS & Branding FIX.zip" archive, extract the "sys.txt" file into the IGO_PAL folder, confirming the replacement.
Also, copy the "Branding.zip" file into the IGO_PAL/ux directory.

It is recommended that you always use the latest version of this file. Using outdated maps may result in the absence of current signs, warnings and other important elements in newer versions of the maps.
Place the archive "global_cfg.zip" in the folder : "IGO/content/global_cfg" without unzipping and agreeing to the replacement.

A plug-in is integrated in iGO Nextgen Premium and iGO 64 BIT Edition that allows you to switch between HERE and TomTom maps.
📌 To activate:
1. Move the files from the "map" folder from the archive to your content/map folder.
2. In the program, use the Skin Changer to choose between HERE and TomTom maps.
Replace all maps with TomTom maps
If you want to completely switch to TomTom maps, follow these steps:

If you notice that the cursor on the map appears as if it were a bird's eye view while using navigation, you may have accidentally activated the "Auto View" function. This option determines the height of the route display.
In IGO Nextgen you can set this option so that the automatic overview is activated only when you are driving on highways. In most cases, however, this feature is not necessary and can interfere with your navigation experience.
To help you disable this option if necessary, we have prepared a short video demonstrating its location in the settings. The video shows how to change this setting in IGO Nextgen Premium and IGO 64-bit edition, and also notes that in IGO LUNA and IGO 64-bit edition (Pongo skin) this option is located in the same place.
