Hello dear drivers!

In Ukrainian and Russian text-to-speech (TTS) there is a problem with pronunciation of some street names and settlements. This is due to incorrect text encoding in the map version 2024 Q2 provided by the manufacturer.

To solve this problem, we recommend deleting the "phoneme" folder located in the IGO_PAL/content ✅ path.

If you observe a similar problem in foreign languages (Polish, English, etc.), please do the same.

Today we want to tell you more about the "global_cfg not found" error and possible ways to solve it.

This error often occurs for several reasons:

1. Incorrect location of the IGO_PAL folder

If you are using the Nextgen version (this also applies to other versions), the IGO_PAL folder must be located at the root of the device's internal memory. It often happens that after unpacking the archive, the folder remains in "Download" or another third-party directory. This violates the installation rules, because the program is sensitive to file location. If the folder is located in the wrong place, the program will not start and will show this error.
✅ Make sure that the IGO_PAL folder is at the root of the internal memory without any other directories.


2. Features of Android 14

In some cases, even if the instructions are followed, the error may occur on Android 14 devices.
🔧 Solution: clear the program cache and data, re-grant all necessary permissions for the program and try to start it again.


3. Incorrect folder name

Make sure that the IGO_PAL folder does not contain any characters, spaces or incorrect letters. An incorrect name will also prevent the program from starting.


4. Problems after Android update

On some devices, where the program was already installed, after Android update (e.g., from version 13 to 14) there may be conflicts, through which it becomes impossible to reinstall the program.
🔧 Solution: perform factory reset of the device to remove the program residues that create conflicts.
