اما گذشته ساده اتفاقی است که قبل از زمان حال یعنی الان اتفاق افتاده. میتواند دور یا نزدیک باشد و زمان اتفاق قطعی و معین است مانند
دیروز...امروز صبح...دیشب...پارسال...ساعت پنج عصر دیروز...سال ۱۳۹۴...و ۲۹ ابان

افعال را در گذشته ساده به دو گروه با قاعده و بی قاعده تقسیم میکنیم. باقاعده ها در زمان گذشته ed میگیرند مانند

Walked Liked Cleaned

ولی شکل بی قاعده ها متفاوت هست و باید حفظ کنیم. البته لیست کامل انها موجود هست. مانند：
Wrote Drank Took Had

به مثالهای زیر دقت کنید：

1. I drank tea this morning.
2. My father went out an hour ago.
3. It rained last night.
4. They travelled by plane.

✍ یادداشت های مهم

برای سوالی کردن افعال to be در زمان گذشته (was/were) کافیست جای انهارا با فاعل عوض کنیم.

برای منفی کردن انها کافیست not را اضافه کنیم.

برای سوالی کردن افعال غیر to be در زمان گذشته Did را اول جمله قبل از فاعل می اوریم و شکل ساده فعل را بعد از فاعل مینویسیم.

برای منفی کردن didn't را بعد از فاعل و قبل از فعل می اوریم و بعد از ان فعل را به شکل ساده مینویسیم.

صفت هست و فعل

صفت: مناسب جفت و جور و سالم و سرحال

فعل: مناسب بودن بدردخور بودن

Get

فعل get بمعنای شدن و از افعال ربطی هست. بعدش صفت میاد.

You are getting fat. It is getting dark.
He got tired. The class got better.

Any more

قید هست و در جمله منفی و سوالی به کار میرود. بمعنای دیگه و ازین به بعد هست.

I don't see him anymore. Do you eat sweets anymore?

اگه جمله مثبت باشه تبدیل به no more میشه.

I eat sweets no more. I see him no more.

Why don't you ......?

برای تعارف زدن و پیشنهاد دادن استفاده میشود.

Why don't you sit down? Why don't you say something?
Why don't you eat some cake?

اصطلاحی هست به این معنا گفتنش اسون تره عمل بهش خیلی سخته یا
به زبون اسون تر میاد البته یه ضرب المثلی هم تو فارسی داریم که میگه
به عمل کار بر اید به سخندانی نیست.

جاهای مختلفی گفته میشه و معانی متفاوتی میده. یکی وقتی باور نکنیم کسی یا چیزی رو.

اصطلاحی هست به معنای کار نشد نداره و یا هیچ چی غیر ممکن نیست.

اصطلاحی هست که همیشه منفی بوده و بعد از ان فعل ing دار می اید. معنای ان اینست: انجام کاری دست ما نیست یا نمیشه بیخیال شد و نکرد.

I can't help laughing when i hear a joke.

تعطیلی روز تعطیل معادل واژه holiday میباشد. بخاطر داشته باشید قبل از ان حرف اضافه on استفاده شود.

گاهی از اصطلاح take vacation نیز میتوان استفاده کرد.

What ....... like?

وقتی بخواهیم از چگونگی کسی یا چیزی بپرسیم

What is my hair like? What are your parents like?

Fantastic

صفت است و به معنای عالی بینظیر محشر

Friendly

علیرغم داشتن ly صفت هست و قید نیست. معنای ان صمیمی و خو‌ش برخورد هست. بدانید که اگر به اسمی ly اضافه کنیم صفت به دست می اید مانند:
Friendly Lovely Fatherly Manly

She is so friendly. We have a friendly teacher.

Sightseeing

اسم هست و در واقع مانند هر فعالیت دیگر همراه با ing میباشد:
Swimming Running Skating Hiking

بمعنای دیدن مناظر زیبای طبیعی هست و با فعل do می اید:

We did sightseeing in Shiraz.

Incredible

صفت است بمعنای باورنکردنی و خیره کننده
