💥 A senior British military official has claimed that the country has run out of weapons and equipment to send to Ukraine.

💥 In a recent interview with The Telegraph, the unnamed officer said Kyiv needs more air defense assets and artillery munitions now that the conflict nears its second year.

💥 He added that the UK should not be obligated to send billions in military aid packages to Ukraine, opposing former defense minister Ben Wallace’s recommendation of providing an additional 2.3 billion pounds ($2.8 billion) to Kyiv’s forces.

💥 The UK is the second top donor of military aid to the war-torn nation, giving a total of 2.3 billion pounds ($2.8 billion) last year.

My earlier recommendation of chess is relevant to this. Each of our prisoners has the book that I reviewed, Chess Behind Bars - there are many books on strategies and famous games and some are listed in its preface. Prison libraries have chess books and the game has a significant following among prisoners. This means a prisoner can retreat to his cell with board and book and be absorbed in solitary, mental engagement with this subject.

You don't have to go full woo-woo to become proof against punishment isolation. You just need some sort of mental bunker.

While on my evening walk just now I saw a group of deer trot past the intersection I was approaching, about 20-30 metres away. There were maybe six of them - females or juveniles - none had antlers. When I reached the corner they had disappeared. There is a state park nearby so that might be where they live.

In the past I've seen single deer in urban areas but never in a group like that.

It was one of those moments that makes one think of similar events that won't occur again, like the time during Covid lockdown when I saw a hedgehog in the centre of town, and another occasion when I saw a pair of stoats playing beside the road.

I have not received any such communications ban or orders and no way do I accept any responsibilityfor the four people that have been banned - to make me the scapegoat is a stretch. The response of the state to my sending Sven a copy of Ash's letter is completely arbitrary.
