Sentencing is next Friday 21st.
^^^ What we want is to use the info in the article to find out post-sentencing contact information or to be put in contact with their families, or both.
Just a reminder, and also since we have a lot of new subscribers:

Please send any or all of our prisoners a postcard. I have tested with Vincent and James that a POSTCARD WILL BE DELIVERED WITHOUT A RETURN NAME AND ADDRESS, so it is more likely than not to work for all of them.

Also, please don't forget Kris Kearney, The fact that he is likely to be released "in weeks rather than months" is not quite the same thing as "soon." It means anything you send now is likely to be delivered despite the delays due to the prison's incompetent management.
Here is the list of addresses. If you send a letter then you need to put your name and address on the back. For postcards you don't need to include your name and address unless you want to receive a reply.

Note though that postage is expensive for a prisoner. If you want an ongoing conversation then the e-mail service at emailaprisoner.com is the preferred option, and if you use it then remember to check the "request a reply" box in order to include a reply sheet for the prisoner to reply at no cost to himself.

Also, if you include a phone number then the prisoner can add it to the system of allowed numbers, although at Kris' prison it doesn't seem to work.
Just a reminder that there is a way to send money directly to Kristofer Kearney. Flag me in the comments.
It looks like the fine people at H & D beat me to it.

I'll see if I can come up with some different questions for my interview of Vincent.
We started in February and now have 50 subscribers and greater engagement, as a percentage, than any other channel I know of, no matter what metric one uses. That's a promising start!

I started with a vision for this project, and its development is on course. The pinned post is a kind of manifesto, but there is more to the vision: I guesstimated that one might expect 10% engagement, and of that group, 10% (that is, 1% of subscribers) would become dedicated to what we are doing. That is, if we have 1000 subscribers then we will have a cadre of 10. I suspect we're doing a bit better than that, and the reason is that the channel is limited mostly to practical matters and therefore is unlikely to have much appeal to people seeking novelty. That is by design.

I encourage this! The prisoners' contact information is published here so that people can write to them.

All of them!

If no-one else interviews every last prisoner then I will, but it is better that others take it up.

There's another point to be made: Prison censors cramp an interviewer's style a bit. Once he is released the prisoner can speak more freely, which might make for a more interesting interview.

I found a way to find some prisoners' date of birth:

Go to cps.gov.uk and use the search function at top left of the page to search the prisoner's name.

If a page about the prisoner's case is found then down the bottom will be "Notes to editors" that will likely include the DOB.

I'm not sure the CPS is acting legally by releasing that information but whatever, it's the CPS and they can do whatever they want. Now, if you or I did that then it might cause us legal problems. If it is there then we might as well use it (see below).

I found James but not the others discussed here. That can be explained in some cases (maybe) by the fact that they haven't been sentenced yet, except that Kris has been sentenced but he's not there. Vincent is in another jurisdiction,

This was an experiment, one more tool for us to use.

I was told by the switchboard person at one prison that you can use the DOB instead of the prisoner number, for sending mail. You still have to know the prison that he is in, but it makes the job easier, since the prison is sometimes mentioned in newspaper reports.

And if you can send him a letter using the DOB then he can reply and include his prisoner number. Then you're off to the races using the e-mail service, sending books, and money via the gov site.

I searched some old cases and came up with nothing. so perhaps they are removed after the prisoner has served his sentence. I don't know, but one might use https://archive.org/web if one needs to get at removed pages.
While perusing the CPS site I came across this case. It is interesting because it contains a lesson, confirming something most of us already know and that I have seen up close.

The guy got angry at a jew and verbally abused him. The jew summoned an officer and the guy has had his life ripped apart.

It's a trap and they all know this. Don't step in the trap, don't do the instinctive thing, just say NOTHING and walk away.
The comments below are by Tyrone's mother, under the post about the Black Wolf Radio guys. Welcome, Gabriel!

Both guys are now remanded in Elmley prison in Sheerness Kent after initially being remanded in Wandsworth Prison. Chris has just had his contacts approved but Tyrone is still being barred from any outside contact which is very concerning as he is a vulnerable adult. As someone who attended both trials (last year's Jury was dismissed by the Judge when it became clear that the Crown's Case was full of holes when the police witnesses were unable to answer simple questions about the case) I observed that far from securing him the adjustments necessary for a fair trial, Tyrone's vulnerability is being used against him at every turn to goad him into a mental collapse. He managed to get a message out to me yesterday via Chris to say that his medication is not being provided. The prison blocked me from their emergency line when I expressed concern that he had not been allowed even a single call out. I was told that the anti-terrorism unit are behind this and I believe this maybe because I complained a out the arresting officers so it is a way of punishing me as well as my son. I have good reason to believe that emails are not being passed on either so please can someone attempt to send one to Elmley prisonπŸ™. Tyrone 's DOB is 22/12/1987 and his prison number is A1125EZ.

I have no doubt that the Judge dismissed last year's Jury to give the Prosecution an opportunity to learn from the mistakes of the first trial and get their story straight thereby giving them an unfair advantage. Indeed this year they did not call the D. Sgt who last year said that their priority was to secure a conviction rather than prevent loss of life. They only had once police witness who was allegedly only assigned to the case a month before the arrest so couldn't really answer any questions about the shambolic 'investigation.' There are no victims and the police refuse to reveal who instigated the investigation on the basis that it would 'jeopardise National Security'.
The guys were very critical of Police and the Criminal (in) justice system on their podcasts and the irony is that by condemning the men for having these views, the Judiciary are confirming that everything these men said about them is true...
They were accused of making a podcast to say things to encourage or incite others to commit acts of terrorism: this is rubbish. As Tyrone said 'It never entered my head.'
6 minutes of conversation out of 106 hours of podcasting was alleged to have crossed the line but it wasn't those 6 minutes that was used to condemn them so much as their views which were shared with the Jury over and over again to whip them up into an hysterical frenzy of outrage against these two men despite the podcast containing a warning that unless one was a white male with right wing views, some of the content may be offensive. This disclaimer of course was never shared with the Jury.
The police found nothing incriminating at my son's flat or on his computer which contains personal writings expressing a view that he would never encourage any young person to get involved in any type of terrorism. Of course the police have the laptop in their possession and have probably destroyed those files by now.

The Judge was extremely biased throughout and from the time he sent the Jury away, suspended all media reporting which up until that time had also been biased: one of the journalists was in fact a non-practising barrister. The Judge remanded my son and indeed the CPS commenced the retrial against all medical advice and the pleas of the Defence on health grounds.
It took police over ten weeks to come up with a form of wording that would put these men under a terrorism charge rather than the lesser possible crime of hate speech. They moved Tyrone out of Wandsworth prison on the day he was due to have a Solicitor's meeting (which may have included discussion regarding an Appeal against the conviction) without informing the solicitor he had moved. I believe this too was deliberate to scupper his right to Appeal.
