Just watched Ricky Gervais Golden Globe award. Last thing he said was absolutely spot on.
It's so ridiculous that a movie stars have became a political or environmental activist, despite the fact that most of them are full of shit. Like Leonardo DiCaprio who talks about Global Warming on Oscars and then goes off to spend a week on a super yacht that creates more pollution in a week than an average family in a year.
I like Leo as an actor, but he's not a physics Noble prize winner, so I don't give a shit what he thinks about environment.

Just watched this interesting documentary about a white guy who went to live in a tribe with aborigines for a year.
These people have been isolated from rest of the world until recent 30-40 years. So basically when they were discovered watching their way of life could tell how most of our ancient ancestors lived during the stone age. So this white guy lives with August, a local man who welcomes him in his house for some rent, but later forces him to pay 1500 pounds, which basically turns him into tribes tycoon.

There're several concussions that came to my mind after watching this documentary:

1. There's no progress without cultural exchange. When you stop cultural exchange you're left behind. Clearly countries where all of the cultures are mixed together are the most advanced. If a society completely closes from outside world, this is direct road to degradation.

2. Most people in comment section are clueless idiots romanticizing on an internet how evil is money and how great was human life before this invention. It's so ungrateful and hypocrite to blame inventions, while using them every day for your comfort. If person thinks that modern inventions are evil, it's extremely easy to fix - go back to the jungle to the stone age(tribes people will be delighted to trade places with you).

3. I can't blame August forcing this white guy to pay. Europeans have corrupted these tribes, not with money, but with FREE money or stuff. They would come a give them free stuff, government gave them free housing... they have corrupted them! Before they used to work extremely hard to find and hunt the prey. But why work hard when you can get a fortune from naive white guy? These Europeans treated them how people like to treat monkeys in a zoo giving free bananas just because they exist. However these people are not monkeys, their brains are just advanced as brains of white, asian or african human. People learn quickly and they have been thought that best way to succeed in modern live is to force others to pay.
Surprisingly the smartest person in the village was Christian priest who thought people to work and be productive, but obviously he will fail. Because August earned more money than anyone in this village by being cunning. Villagers will learn from this example that hard work doesn't pay as much as extortion. This will create a negative loop for these people, because tourist will be afraid to go there and which will make it harder for them to reach modern level of lifestyle.

To me it's like a mini experiment of socialism, how free stuff corrupts people and destroys attempt to move towards progress.
After collapse of Soviet Union there was a generation of people who were absolutely lost in this new free world. People were taken care of by their government, they went to work where government told them, they earned similar pay despite differences in productivity. In return government demanded full submission with KGB, mass killings, concentration camps etc.

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.
I think that the only thing that doesn't corrupt people is a free education.
Education can enrich your live, help you to survive, makes you interesting and useful to other people.
Free things will destroy your character you'll be like monkey in a zoo getting food just because you exist.

Schrödinger's Plates: They are both broken and not broken until you open the door.
Happy women's day 🎉!
When I used to study in a high school we had a subject - survival in critical situations.
One of the lesson was what to do with panickers " when you are in critical life threatening situation and someone starts creating panic you should come up to that person and slap him/her hard so they will come to senses".
This is what I feel like doing to some people who totally forgot how to behave like humans because of Corona Virus panic.
I read stories of people attacking Asians in Italy or Ukrainians throwing things at the bus that's driving sick people.
How quickly people forget their good manners at the sight of a slight danger.

In my humble opinion it better to die a human than live like a pig.
Now it is a great time to practice meditation and mindfulness while most "business gurus" turned into panic-ridden, hype-seeking 24hr news anchors.
Take a deep breath and sit for 15-20 minutes. You might get some brilliant idea or see opportunity while others are running wild.
Now that everyone is sitting at home and constantly consuming a lot of information you need a filter!
Our poor brain needs a filter from propaganda rubbish that constantly gets pounded into it.

Yuri Bezmenov an ex KGB officer helps get our of la la land and opens your eyes on how propaganda works.
Personally, I'm re-watching this amazing footage and even taking some notes.
