"You do not want to win an argument. You want to win." - Nassim Nicholas Taleb

In my biased opinion best folk music in the world is Georgian.
If you want to know what do the mountains sound like just listen to Georgian choirs.
My opinion is biased because I'm Caucasian and also live in Georgia.
I remember when I was a kid in my grandfather's house in Ingushetia. Old people would come for prayer once every 2-3 month, they would sit at the table and sing the Muslim prayer in a similar polyphonic style like Georgian choirs. Georgian songs are also mostly religious ones.

Fun fact: Georgian folk song Chakrulo was one of 29 musical compositions included on the Voyager Golden Records that were sent into space on Voyager 2 on 20 August 1977.

If tomorrow by miracle all th people in the world turn into one race, same color, same religion...we will still find dozens of ways to separate and hate each other.

It's Pavels Birthday today! 🎂 Thanks for Telegram and for being true inspiration to millions of young people including myself!
Sorry, but this is too funny ! 😂

US SEC decided to make their own "present" to Durov for birthday.
They want to stop launch of GRAM tokens.

“Our emergency action today is intended to prevent Telegram from flooding the U.S. markets with digital tokens that we allege were unlawfully sold.”

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Washington D.C., Oct. 11, 2019 —
The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced that it has filed an emergency action and obtained temporary restraining order against two offshore entities conducting an alleged unregistered, ongoing digital token offering in the U.S. and overseas that has raised more than $1.7 billion of investor funds.

At the moment I see 2 scenarios this could resolve:
- TON can go to court against SEC, just like KIK team and try to battle it out in a long and painful lawsuit;
- They will launch and then pay huge fine($30-50 mill) to SEC just like what EOS had done.

I think they'll probably push for the settlement. Lawsuits against SEC is costly and uncertain business.
Kik messenger team found that out hard way recently, their CEO Ted Livingston announced that they were planning to close down Kik messenger.

Maybe we as loyal users have to find the way to influence SEC to stop bullying TON.

While many talk about protecting people's privacy and the freedom of speech, Telegram actually does it.
Here's a latest interview of Nassim Taleb.
What I love about Taleb is that he's not just smart, he is wise.
And the type of wisdoms he brings is not a traditional western wisdom, but a mix of middle eastern, Mediterranean kind of outlook on things.
Still haven't read "skin in the game", but feel like picking up this book immediately.
