Huge unrests are happening in Hong Kong in a wake of trade war between United States and China. Once upon a time Hong Kong has been a window to capitalism for China, but things have changed. China seems to lose its patience with relatively free state. So far China s goal was to get millions of people out of powerty using half planning and half trade economy. Communist party been pretty successful at getting about 300 mill people out of poverty and filling up a quarter of Forbes list.
China is increasingly a high-tech police state, their social contact seems to be like this - want to be prosperous, then give up your freedom. In my mind it doesn't work, but Chinese communist party made it work and it's quite remarkable. It will be interesting how this is going to progress and what's goin to happen to Hong Kong.

I took this pole intentionally and I have to admit that results were not what I expected.

Looks like Trump screwed up in a big way this time.
It seems that it could even go to impeachment phase, but he'll probably not get impeached.
Republicans have the majority, US economy is doing "fantastic", but democrats will "milk" this situation for a long time, as they should.
The US political struggle it's like watching never ending MMA fight. Beautiful!
The only problem is Democrats are constantly complaining instead of fighting.
There's an old saying "Dogs bark, but the caravan goes on."
Im looking forward to a time when Democrats stop barking and turn into caravan.

In my biased opinion best folk music in the world is Georgian.
If you want to know what do the mountains sound like just listen to Georgian choirs.
My opinion is biased because I'm Caucasian and also live in Georgia.
I remember when I was a kid in my grandfather's house in Ingushetia. Old people would come for prayer once every 2-3 month, they would sit at the table and sing the Muslim prayer in a similar polyphonic style like Georgian choirs. Georgian songs are also mostly religious ones.

Fun fact: Georgian folk song Chakrulo was one of 29 musical compositions included on the Voyager Golden Records that were sent into space on Voyager 2 on 20 August 1977.
