I wrote Lady Draza some time ago saying that the CVRs are too good to be true. I feared that the Left would include a random shuffler that would falsely randomize the time arrivals of the fake ballots and render the CVRs useless. They appear to be exceeding my expectations by simply DELETING the Column that allows them to be temporally sorted. I'm not an expert in CVRS but I think this renders the CVRs completely useless.

Dominion cast-vote records (CVRs) in CSV format use a simple data scheme that can be sanitized manually. To do so, open the .csv file in Excel and delete column D, labeled “RecordId”, then save the file. Removing the record IDs from JSON-format CVRs and ballot image filenames is more labor intensive, so we recommend using our data sanitization tool described below.

Automated Data Sanitization Tool (all formats)
We created an open-source software tool that can automatically reprocess Dominion cast-vote records (CVRs) and ballot image files so that DVSorder can no longer be exploited. The tool can sanitize CVRs in .csv or .zip format and folders of ballots images in .tif format.

Sanitizing published ballot-level data cannot affect official election results, because results are generated directly from the election management system (EMS), not from the ballot-level data released to the public. However, as with any third-party software, jurisdictions should not run our sanitization tool on their EMS computers. Instead, we recommend copying vulnerable CVRs or ballot images to an external system and running the tool there. Our tool is open-source software, and we encourage anyone interested to view the code and test its behavior.

Regarding Dr. Halderman's newest proposal:

Randomly shuffling within a batch of 200 or less, and putting the batch ID and timestamp on each ballot in the CVR, protects privacy, maintains an audit trail for accountability, and enables us to detect manipulation like I found in Pima County AZ (which cannot be detected by a risk-limiting audit).

Since the randomization algorithm was weak and reversible (a puny linear congruential pseudorandom number generator followed by a substitution cipher), the correct fix is a better random number generator to shuffle within a batch of 200 or less, not deleting the Record ID, destroying the audit trail, and blocking detection of manipulation.

Dr. D, have you read Texas Election Codes 52.062 and 62.009?

This simple process of pre-numbering ballots consecutively, beginning with the number 1, then placing numberside down and randomizing them on a table for voter's selection affords both voter privacy AND the ability for the voter, and only the voter, to know their unique ballot number. It also provides a thorough tracking of ballots ordered, used, not used, spoiled and adjudicated, all while protecting a voter's privacy and preserving the auditable paper trail.
