Over the course of the last 16 years of my activism and indie journalism, I have faced accusations from haters and people who are NOT arguing in good faith attempting to discredit my work.

Now, this isn't anything new for ANYONE who chooses to put themselves into the "public sphere", especially on the internet, and I have become accustomed to it.

However, recently I noticed a wave of comments across various social media platforms claiming that my *very humble success* has come overnight and that this alleged rapid success makes me suspect.

I find this hilarious because for anyone who has actually followed my work or taken 2 seconds to look into my history, you can see that I have been busting my ass as an activist, and later a journalist, film maker, public speaker, author etc for nearly 2 decades.

Whatever limited success I have - and I am grateful for it - it certainly did not happen overnight. I am extremely shadowbanned, downranked by the algo, and have fought for every bit of audience I've gained. I've built my humble audience (about 500k across all platforms and email) by hitting the pavement and doing real journalism, and by living the message that I promote.

In fact, it was really cool to meet a few people on The Activation Tour who said they've been following me since the 2010-2012 era of my work. Not only is that so cool to know that someone has been keeping up with me for that long, but its a testament to the length of time I've been committed to this work.

Do you want to know the secret to my humbling (but growing) success?

I invest in myself and my work. It's that simple.

I'd estimate that over the last 16 years I invested somewhere between $15-20k of MY OWN MONEY into my work.

This money went towards doing in person activism and journalism in places like NYC for 9/11 from 2011-2017, protests like Ferguson, Standing Rock, COVID, etc, political conventions and events, activist and freedom events etc etc.

For the vast majority of my work I've paid out of pocket. There have been times that journalistic outlets I've worked for covered some of my costs, and there have also been times that crowdfunding covered my costs (thank you!).

Overall, though, I've covered my own costs and I've done it because going to in person events and networking with people, putting my face and name out there, and doing the real work is what a journalist does.

THIS is why people know my work. NOT because I blew up overnight and have questionable funding.

Anduril’s other co-founder is Palmer Luckey, a virtual reality entrepreneur and Trump fundraiser, who is on record for saying “Societies have always needed a warrior class that is enthused and excited about enacting violence on others in pursuit of good aims.”

I am the son of a special forces soldier who would very much disagree with that characterisation of the warrior class, but Luckey’s larpy gamer vibe is also exploited by Trump’s Department of War, which uses Call of Duty imagery in social media posts about Iranian strikes. The net effect of this strategy is to liken Iranians to NPC forces of fantasy evil. You, American Soldier, are the hero who gets a new high score by using Palantir-powered Anduril drones to blow the head off a 19-year old orc from the slums of Isfahan.

Both companies have gone all-in on promoting an America-First AI-Military-Industrial Complex to Make America Great Again. They position Trump as an Aragorn character wielding their products. Anduril’s Luckey and Stephens are full MAGA, as is Palantir’s Lonsdale, Thiel and CEO Alex Karp. The latter used to oppose Trump, but now harangues the last remaining liberals of Silicon Valley.

They play into rhetoric of an existential war to protect Western Civilization against China, Islam, Globalists and Leftists who dilute the vigour of the American Warrior Ethos.

Data Centers and the Race for Local Water

Talking with James Corbett, I explained how data centers pull vast amounts of groundwater, risking entire ecosystems and local farms. Once gone, that water isn't coming back quickly.

I Cannot Continue Doing My Work Without Your Support

I won't waste your precious time with my sob story, but the reality is I have been struggling for the last year after my pay at The Last American Vagabond was cut to less than half due to frivolous copyright lawsuits Ryan Cristian is facing.

I've done everything I can to survive, to continue writing articles on a monthly basis, to continue releasing empowering and educational interviews, to continue releasing my monthly podcast breaking down the truth behind the big stories of the day, and, most importantly, to promote real solutions.

And yet, despite my best efforts - and lots of positive comments from my supporters - I can barely pay my bills. I need to come up with a new plan to survive and continue doing this important work that means more to me than anything in the world.

Instead, I am stepping further into faith and trusting that all of the hard work I've put into my journalism for the last 16 years will pay off and that YOU will help me finally take The Conscious Resistance Network completely independent.

So here's my plan:

This would ideally drive more traffic to our website, grow our email list, and bring more people to the wealth of work I've produced since 2013.
