The TradesMed™ Pack has a 3/4 zipper closure allowing you to fully open "book style" the pack and access all your tools quickly and efficiently.
The modular internal Checkmate™ and Loop Velcro organization system allows you to choose the internal organizer pouches, elastic loop widgets or Velcro One-Wraps to perfectly organize and secure your mission critical equipment. It has an outside center flat zipper pocket with tie down for small and or sensitive items.
Internally there are front and rear channels that allow for storage of flat items as well as hydration bladders. The top of the bag has 2 drink tube ports and the side carry handles allow you to grab it and displace immediately without having to fully repack the bag if you're under fire.

@olightworld sent me their Ostation battery charger in exchange for content (no exchange of funds) and this is what I came up with. It really does make charging batteries easy that even my wife and kids use it for their household items. As far as using it for “tactical” items, NiMH batteries do not leak like alkaline batteries do, so I would totally use them in ear pro, shot timers, or even PVS-14’s (for training then saving your lithium batteries for SHTF).

Slides 1,2, and 4: of what I thought I'd need, these are what made the most difference. In no order;
A 16" 5.56 gas gun of blue collar origins. Quality, consistency, known performance with a 1:8 @criterionbarrels . A 1-8 scope, like this newly released @arkenopticsusa , would be well suited in the terrain and with the requirements of the class. A larger more magnified scope would have been unwieldy and overkill leaving me at a disadvantage when up close while a red dot (for me) could have lessened my capabilities at mid-long distance. Like with anything; know your reticle and how magnification affects everything.

@andronikacollective overwatch pack is a versatile piece. Unique, light, and well suited for the grab and go nature of UPR. Go look at it.
A quality tripod, tac table, and bag (shameless plug for the Ute 2 and Brat bag that I make) are essential, and you'll find why quickly when sectoring and IDing targets, calling shots for fellow students, then rapidly engaging across the canyons.
6 mags (+1 shorty) suited me well, and having something to hold them and my water was convenient (tactical bum bag for the win).
Bring good ammo. Seems like common sense, I probably shouldn't have to tell you that. Thanks @hornadymfg for the ability to run this new 73 grain TAP, it was the brawndo the DTI needed.
Protection; Mid top boots, sun shirts, hat, pants with knee pads, clear lenses to accommodate changing skies and terrain, neck gaiter for dust.
Bonuses; suppressor and cover. Not required, but they pay dividends. Prolonged CoFs were no problem with this @sukonperformance Direct Action cover; the real win was the lack of mirage at the longer ranges.
This class will have you moving, a lot. As mentioned before; prepare before you go. Hike, run, shoot, etc leading up to any adventure at Thunder Ranch and you'll enjoy it more. Show up ready to listen and apply. I don't take a lot of images when I train, to keep my head in the game, but I'm glad @bendeego did, because he made us all look good.
