🇵🇭❌🇨🇳 NEW: The Philippine government completed an inter-agency maritime operation earlier today in the Sandy Cay, including Pag-asa Cay 1, Cay 2, and Cay 3, involving the Navy, Coast Guard, and Police Maritime Group to assert maritime domain awareness and jurisdiction.

➡️ This operation came as the Chinese coast guard claimed ‘sovereign jurisdiction’ of Sandy Cay yesterday, where troops posed with the PRC flag on Pag-asa Cay 2.

➡️ In response to Chinese provocation, Philippine troops posed with the national flag on one of the cays after deploying four composite teams aboard rubber boats, successfully landing at three of the cays.

➡️ The Philippine teams deployed observed the presence of a China Coast Guard ship and seven Chinese Maritime Militia vessels near Cay-2 and Cay-3.
