๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฑโŒ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ท โ€” Israeli Defense Minister Katz on Tรผrkiye:
We are not the collapsing Christian empire. Jerusalem is not Constantinople, which you conquered when you built the Ottoman Empire.

We are here forever. Jerusalem is ours forever. We know how to defend ourselves, and we are strong.

Don't mess with us. My advice to ErdoฤŸan is not to mess with us and not to put himself in the position that Iran put itself in. He still has plenty of room to avoid that.

Instead, he should take care of Tรผrkiye and its own affairs. We will take care of our own interests, and we will continue to do so.

We very much want to strike Iran's energy targets.

The United States is not approving it at the moment because of the concern that Iran would attack neighboring countries and trigger a global oil crisis.

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฆโšก๏ธ โ€” Israeli Minister of Energy Eli Cohen on the prospects for a Saudi-Israel pipeline:
If you look at the map, you'll see that ground infrastructure can be laid from the Gulf states all the way to the Mediterranean โ€” and from the Mediterranean, it can flow to Europe.

This is a very big interest for the Saudis, because the Saudis understand oil is their main source of income. The last war shows that you need not only a source of energy but also a route to export it.

I estimate that in a few years, if a confrontation breaks out in our region, the Straits of Hormuz and Bab el-Mandeb will no longer be able to be a threat or a card for Iran.

I estimate four to five years for the alternative to be ready.

๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ผ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ณโšก๏ธ โ€” Taiwan will test relocating weapons production and converting civilian factories for military use during its annual Han Kuang military exercises from August 5โ€“14, as it prepares for the possibility of Chinese strikes on defense and logistics hubs, Reuters reports.

โžก๏ธ The drills will simulate China using routine military exercises to conceal preparations for an invasion, prompting Taiwan to rapidly raise combat readiness.

โžก๏ธ They will also test the military's ability to disperse industrial production, relocate the Armaments Bureau's 202nd Arsenal in Taipei, mobilize civilian manufacturers, and keep critical sea lanes open through joint navy and coast guard operations.

โžก๏ธ Mobile internet speeds will also be reduced to assess wartime resilience under disrupted communications.

๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ตโšก๏ธ โ€” A magnitude 7.1 earthquake struck Japan's Kumamoto Prefecture earlier today, triggering a brief tsunami advisory, injuring at least 50 people, and prompting evacuation orders for more than 150,000 residents.

โžก๏ธ The quake, which registered the maximum shindo 7 intensity on Japan's seismic scale, caused widespread damage, including road and bridge failures, fires, building collapses, and power outages affecting about 48,000 households. Kumamoto Castle's stone walls have partially collapsed.

โžก๏ธ Rail services, including the Kyushu Shinkansen, were suspended, Kumamoto Airport was closed, and a freight train derailed.

โžก๏ธ Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi said authorities were still assessing the full extent of the damage. No deaths have been reported as of now.

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธโšก๏ธ โ€” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is meeting President Trump today after weeks of trying to secure a White House meeting, with U.S. officials telling CNN the Israeli side attempted to "will a meeting into existence" through media leaks before it was finalized following Netanyahu's decision to attend Sen. Lindsey Graham's funeral.

โžก๏ธ An Israeli official told CNN that it took time to schedule Bibi's meeting with Trump and that initially โ€œhe was blocked,โ€ though it's unclear by whom.

โžก๏ธ The meeting is the leaders' first face-to-face since the joint U.S.-Israel campaign against Iran began five months ago. Netanyahu is expected to press Trump against further diplomatic concessions to Iran and seek closer coordination ahead of Israel's October 27 election.

โžก๏ธ The negotiations are expected to focus on appointing new members of the National Electoral Council, overhauling the voter registry, and setting the timing of future elections.

โžก๏ธ At Washington's request, the opposition delegation will consist of members of the 2015 opposition-led National Assembly, rather than Machado herself.

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ทโšก๏ธ โ€” President Trump's relationship with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has become increasingly strained in the months since the April 8 ceasefire, with the two leaders speaking far less frequently than they did during the early stages of the conflict, according to Axios.

โžก๏ธ Netanyahu has increasingly relied on Secretary of State Marco Rubio for insight into Trump's thinking, while his influence over U.S. war policy has steadily diminished. He also struggled to secure Tuesday's White House meeting, after being unable to obtain an appointment last week.

โžก๏ธ Although Trump has publicly said his relationship with Netanyahu remains strong, he has privately expressed frustration with the Israeli leader. Several senior figures in Trump's inner circle, including Vice President JD Vance, have grown skeptical of Netanyahu, arguing that his assessments of the war repeatedly proved overly optimistic.

"Netanyahu will come; he'll make his promises, and then we'll have to check everything out," one senior U.S. official said.

Weโ€™ll have to take out Pickaxe if we don't make a deal. We can take it out very easily.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ทโšก๏ธ โ€” President Trump on Iran:
If I go back and finish up the job, as some people would like, with the bridges โ€” very easily I could take out most of their bridges in less than an hour.

But you know, it takes them 10 years to build a bridge. Bridges take the longest, and power plants are second.

I can knock out the power plants within one day. All of their power plants would be gone. I think about 91 million people without power, without bridges, would have to live. And it's a very, very delicate balance.

They know I'm going to do that if they don't make a deal.

The bridges are going to be gone โ€” literally. In less thanโ€”I would say in two hours, most of the bridges, the major bridges, will all be gone. And the power plants in one day.

If I can avoid doing that, I would like to avoid that.
