🇲🇲 — The commander of the 14th Burmese police battalion, Lt. Col. Zaw Zaw Aung, and his personal assistant were killed while on their way to their office in the besieged town of Hakka.

The Chin Defense Forces, an anti-junta rebel group, claimed responsibility for the assassination.

The city of Hakka, which is the capital of the Chin region of Myanmar, is currently encircled by the ethnic Chin rebels, making this assassination an important failure of the regime security dispositif.

🇷🇺🇲🇱 — A joint Russian Africa Corps/FaMA convoy en route toward Gao was ambushed this morning by the JNIM/FLA forces in the Tabrichat area.

Many Malian soldiers were killed and captured alongside their vehicles as a result of the ambush.
