Under the deal, Lebanon commits to restoring full state authority over its territory, disarming all non-state armed groups, and giving the Lebanese Armed Forces exclusive security control.

The IDF will gradually redeploy from Lebanese territory through phased pilot zones, beginning with two agreed areas, once disarmament and dismantling of armed infrastructure are verified. Israel will keep a ~10 km security buffer inside southern Lebanon for now.

The framework also establishes a U.S.-supported military coordination group, conditions future U.S. assistance on measurable results, and calls for international reconstruction and humanitarian support for Lebanon.

Israel reaffirms it has no territorial ambitions in Lebanon and that its military presence will no longer be needed once Hezbollah and other armed groups are disarmed.

Both sides also agree to work toward a comprehensive peace and security agreement, avoid hostile actions in international forums, and cooperate on detainees and the return of remains.

Notably, Hezbollah has not been a party in the talks and has dismissed the framework agreement.

Friday’s U.S. strikes do not reflect a return to major combat operations, at least for now.

The U.S. attacked Iran in the middle of negotiations once again.

The failed U.S. President has shown he has no commitment to the principles of negotiation or a ceasefire.

This reckless violation of the ceasefire will, as always, lead to retreat and regret on their part.

The blame game does not work anymore.

Iran signed a ceasefire agreement. We have honored it. If they have disagreements about how the MOU is being applied, they can pick up the phone.

But violence will be met with violence.

Following the Israeli regime’s violation of the ceasefire in southern Lebanon, the treaty-breaking United States—acting as it has in the past—also violated its commitments a few hours ago. Under various pretexts, including the passage of a vessel alleged to have violated regulations by using an unauthorized route through the Strait of Hormuz, it carried out an airstrike against the shores of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

In response to this aggression, the Navy of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps targeted locations where the U.S. terrorist military is stationed in the region.

Under Article 5 of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, arrangements for regulating transit through the Strait of Hormuz are to be coordinated with the Islamic Republic of Iran. However, the United States sought to violate this commitment through various provocations and has now received the appropriate response. The same will occur in the future. Should the aggression be repeated, our response will be broader than this.
