Iran tried to throw us into a swamp of hatred. They wanted to humiliate us, and we are humiliating them.

They threatened us with destruction, and now they are fighting to survive. The campaign against Iran is not over — we still have work to do.

I have sacrificed a significant part of my life to prevent one thing: that this heinous regime will achieve a nuclear weapon, by means of which it seeks to destroy the State of the Jews and bring an end to Jewish history.

We created a "security buffer" of between 8 to 10 kilometers, in order to delay the imminent threat from our settlement.

There is still enriched material in Iran, and as Trump said, it must be taken out; either it will come out by agreement, or it will come out in other ways.

We were the first to take action because we knew what was at stake.

But if I had told you a year ago that the United States of America, the most powerful power in the world, would fight alongside us, shoulder to shoulder, wing to wing, for nearly 40 days against the common enemy, who would have believed it?

But all of this happened because we initiated, we acted, we attacked.

We win, regardless what happens, we win. We totally defeated that country.

Let’s see what happens. Maybe they will make a deal, maybe they won’t. It doesn’t matter.

From the standpoint of America, we win.

Boats are sailing up and heading to our country.

Big, beautiful tankers, and we are loading them up with oil and gas.

Whether we make a deal or not makes no difference to me. The reason is because we've won.

We will open up the Strait, even though we do not use it, because we have a lot of other countries in the world that do use it that are either afraid, or weak, or cheap.

If China does that, China is going to have big problems.

We have been at it now for 21 hours, and we've had a number of substantive discussions with the Iranians. That's the good news.

The bad news is that we have not reached an agreement, and I think that's bad news for Iran much more than it's bad news for the United States of America.

We need to see an affirmative commitment that they will not seek a nuclear weapon and they will not seek the tools that would enable them to quickly achieve a nuclear weapon.

That is the core goal of the President United States and that's what we've tried to achieve through these negotiations.

Their nuclear programs such as it is, the enrichment facilities that they've that they had before, they've been destroyed.

But the simple question is, do we see a fundamental commitment of will for the Iranians not to develop a nuclear weapon, not just now, not just two years from now, but for the long term? We haven't seen that yet. We hope that we will.

We just could not get to a situation where the Iranians were willing to accept our terms.

I think that we were quite flexible; we were quite accommodating. President Trump told us, "You need to come here in good faith and make your best effort to get a deal." We did that.

And unfortunately, we weren't able to make any headway.

We were talking to the president consistently. I don't know how many times we talked to him—a half dozen times, a dozen times—over the past 21 hours.

We obviously also talked to Admiral Cooper, to Pete, to Marco, to the entire national security team.

We were constantly in communication with the team because we were negotiating in good faith.

We leave here with a very simple proposal, a method of understanding that is our final and best offer. We'll see if the Iranians accept it.
