I have just spoken with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and Prime Minister Nawaf Salam.

I expressed France’s full solidarity in the face of the indiscriminate strikes carried out by Israel in Lebanon today, which resulted in a very high number of civilian casualties. We condemn these strikes in the strongest possible terms.

They pose a direct threat to the sustainability of the ceasefire that has just been reached. Lebanon must be fully covered by it.

I reiterated the need to preserve Lebanon’s territorial integrity and France’s determination to support the efforts of the Lebanese authorities to uphold the country’s sovereignty and implement the Hezbollah disarmament plan.

People across Lebanon were holding their breath for a ceasefire agreement, but a wave of deadly strikes plunged the country into panic and chaos.

Many who had begun thinking of the moment when they might return to their homes have been rushing to streets and hospitals, searching for missing loved ones or seeking a safety that feels increasingly out of reach.

There is no doubt the world is in a better place today than it was yesterday [as Trump didn't go through with his deadline].

The big question is if the world is in a better place than it was 40 days ago... I'm more than doubtful.

One industry consultant said, “Hell yes,” when asked whether executives were protesting the toll idea, adding, "We didn’t have to do that before — and I thought we won the war.”

The response from the Trump admin “is not a cold shoulder,” the industry consultant added. “It’s more like, ‘Yeah, ok, we’ll take note.’”

Companies are also raising concerns directly with Trump, but cautiously, because “the president is extremely sensitive to the legacy and judgment on the success of this war.”

According to the indictment, Williams later expressed concern about how much classified material had been revealed, allegedly telling her mother, “I might actually get arrested, and I don’t even get a free copy of the book.”

President Trump said today that the 900 pounds of highly enriched uranium that's buried at the bottom of the enrichment facility in Iran needs to be dug up and turned over to the United States.

I like the tactic that President Trump is taking. He'd like to end this well, but it takes two to tango. And I'm very suspicious that Iran will ever do this.

It's in their DNA to want to acquire a nuclear weapon, because this is not a normal regime. They're kind of deep in their bench.

There's really no moderates in that system.

I hope President Trump will issue an ultimatum in two weeks, saying, "We're going to do my deal in two weeks, or we're back at it."

And remember this: Kharg Island is where almost all the oil and gas infrastructure resides for a line.

If you control Kharg Island, you control the Iranian economy. It is a good place to start if you have to go back to this.

Being part of the regime takes you out of the reasonable camp.

If you think it's reasonable to want to make the entire world bend to your knee as a religion—they're religious Nazis—that's what they want. They want to purify Islam.

If you think it's reasonable to kill all the Jews, I don't. That's what they want to do. They've been saying this for 47 years.

Iranian Parliament Speaker Ghalibaf — they call him the "Butcher of Tehran," who's in charge of the cops. They've killed like 45,000 of their own people.

So never lose sight of who we're dealing with here. And I don't think President Trump has. He's a pretty cagey guy.

There's no such thing as a moderate regime member.
