I am forced to know things that no longer let me sleep.

For what could happen in the coming weeks, for the effects it will have on the economy and on our daily lives.

We did not support this war, and no one asked for our opinion.

The length of wars does not depend on the power of the strongest, but on the resistance of the weakest.

Iran is larger than Ukraine, has more people, and thousands of years of history.

If this war develops into a major regional conflict, it could place an even greater burden on Germany and Europe, as strongly as we recently experienced during the COVID pandemic or at the beginning of the Ukraine War.

Over time, the U.S. is going to retake control of the straits, and there will be freedom of navigation, whether it is through U.S. escorts or a multinational escort.

A little more than a year ago, after decades of oppression, people in Syria shook off a dictatorship, and the images of the liberation of the prisoners from the torture chambers and celebrations in the streets left a lasting impression.

Germany has always been on the side of the Syrian people in the long years of the Assad regime, hosting a million refugees.

Now, the rebuilding of Syria has begun, and those in Germany aim to help restore their homeland.

I encourage you to create space for all Syrians in New Syria, regardless of their religion, ethnicity, and gender.

Violence against minorities and those who think differently must belong to the past. The same applies to the terrorist threat that spread over the years from Syria.

I know how committed you are to this and have already done so successfully. In this sense, you can count on the support of Germany on the way to a good future.

Success is more important in this region than ever in the face of the ongoing Iran war. Because this war affects us all.

On behalf of myself and the Syrian people, I express my deep gratitude to Germany. We will never forget how you opened the doors for more than a million Syrians when they were overwhelmed by poverty.

Syria represents an excellent opportunity for a European-Syrian partnership led by Germany and opens the bridge of communication, human heritage, culture, and trade.

Today, Syria returns to the world and Europe stronger and determined.

We condemn the Israeli attacks on Syrian territory, the violation of the 1974 agreement, the occupation of new territories, and we call on the international community to carry out its moral and legal responsibilities.

European countries are suffering from the current situation because the supply of energy from the Arabian Gulf has been cut to about 20% of the oil and gas exports and transport from the Arabian Gulf as well as the supply chains.

Syria is a safe haven for the supply chains through its strategic location and energy supplies through the Mediterranean.

This is linked through Syria to reach a safe and sound way to Europe quickly, and any disruption that may occur in the Red Sea or the Strait of Hormuz makes Syria a safe haven for it.

I will always make decisions that are in the national interest.

It’s why we aren’t getting dragged into the Middle East conflict, and why we are fighting to protect your living standards.

And while opposition parties have responded by dividing communities, we respond with hope and pride.

Pride in our communities, and the hope of a country that’s better for our children.

That’s what we’re fighting for.

There is a great danger to energy supplies and energy prices in the world, and also other potential dangers in the future, if this war develops and does not reach a point of agreement in a certain way.

The targets of the Gulf countries are clear; the Gulf countries did not enter this conflict automatically but were attacked by the Iranians.

We reiterate our condemnation of Iran’s attacks on the Arab Gulf states.
