I'm not sure what Joe Kent is reading but it is not the same intel I’m seeing. We had briefings and the intelligence was exquisite.

This was an imminent threat. Joe Kent seemed to understand that until about 24 hours ago.

I’m not sure what happened. But he is an outlier.

Everyone in the administration and everyone who sees the actual intelligence understands clearly that the president did what he had to do.

Israel, out of anger for what has taken place in the Middle East, has violently lashed out at a major facility known as South Pars Gas Field in Iran. A relatively small section of the whole has been hit.

The United States knew nothing about this particular attack, and the country of Qatar was in no way, shape, or form, involved with it, nor did it have any idea that it was going to happen. Unfortunately, Iran did not know this, or any of the pertinent facts pertaining to the South Pars attack, and unjustifiably and unfairly attacked a portion of Qatar’s LNG Gas facility.

NO MORE ATTACKS WILL BE MADE BY ISRAEL pertaining to this extremely important and valuable South Pars Field unless Iran unwisely decides to attack a very innocent, in this case, Qatar — in which instance the United States of America, with or without the help or consent of Israel, will massively blow up the entirety of the South Pars Gas Field at an amount of strength and power that Iran has never seen or witnessed before.

I do not want to authorize this level of violence and destruction because of the long term implications that it will have on the future of Iran, but if Qatar’s LNG is again attacked, I will not hesitate to do so.

The last time I saw Charlie Kirk on this Earth was in June, in the West Wing. He looked me in the eye and he said: "Joe, stop us from getting into a war with Iran."

And then he’s suddenly publicly assassinated and we’re not allowed to ask any questions about that? But there was still a lot for us to look into that I can’t really get into.

We know, because of the text messages that have been made public, that Charlie was under a lot of pressure from a lot of pro-Israel donors.

We know Charlie was advocating to President Trump against this war with Iran.

Who is in charge of our policy in the Middle East?

Who is in charge of when we decide to go to war or not?

In this case, the Israelis drove the decision to take this action, which we knew would set off a series of events, meaning the Iranians would retaliate.

Joe Kent: No, they weren't. They weren't in June either.

The Iranians have had a religious ruling, a fatwa, against actually developing a nuclear weapon since 2004. That's been in place since 2004.

That's available in the public sphere, but then also we had no intelligence to indicate that that fatwa was being disobeyed or it was on the cusp of being lifted.

The Iranians are obviously aware of what's taking place in their region.

Their strategy was to not completely abandon their nuclear program because they saw what happened to Muammar Gaddafi in Libya when he said, 'Hey, I've got no more nukes, I'll do what you say, I'll give up my nukes'.

I think Israel would be able to defend itself. I think it could conduct limited strikes on its borders.

I think it could continue carrying out pretty impressive targeted assassinations against its adversaries.

What it couldn't do is go topple entire governments. It couldn't do something like the Iran War, the Iraq War.

It couldn't aggressively destabilize Syria. These big heavy lifts of regime change that America has been engaged in, Israel could not do on their own.

Which is why you get back to the Israeli lobby being just so potent and so powerful and so aggressive.

We're only three weeks into this war of choice, imposed on both Iranians and Americans.
