Despite everything you read, despite the fact that COVID drove migration to record levels all around the world, the day I left office, border crossings in the United States were lower than the day that I entered an office inherited from Trump.

He is... I won't say it. That's just a fact.

On the day I left office, I handed Trump the strongest economy in the world. In the world — that's not hyperbole. That's a fact.

I'm getting pretty old. Forty times two plus a lot more.

I know more heads of state well than any president of the United States of America in all of history. Just because I've been doing it so long.

The American knew they had a president who believed in, respected, and followed the Constitution.

The Trump administration is determined to erase all the gains we made in my administration.

And the rest of the world is taking note.

America is walking away from a commitment to vaccines. Did anyone ever think you'd ever see a resurgence of measles in America again?

Trump's already jacking up the cost of health care for millions of Americans because of this weird obsession with Barack Obama. What's his problem?

I was proud to build on Obamacare. Trump is still trying to destroy it.

It's almost as if there's something wrong with this guy. No, I really mean it. And now millions of Americans are paying more for health insurance because of it.

But it's not just my record that Trump's trying to erase. He's trying to erase fairness, equity, history — the truth.

If America ceases to be good, America will cease to be great.

My friends, I can't sugarcoat this: These are dark days. The threats we face today are not anything new. But they're being amplified in ways that have never been seen before.

Our future is literally on the line. Our children are watching. We have to be unapologetic for fighting for our country.

The battle for the soul of this nation is one that's never really over.

Here's the good news: In America, the power still belongs to the people for now, and the way to show the power is vote. Show up and vote.

When we do that, that's bad news for Donald Trump, and he knows it. That's why he's trying to pull out more and more barriers, put them up.

He's trying to steal the election. Because he knows if he can't win your vote, so he's going to do everything he can to prevent you from wanting to vote. Mark my words.

I hope I'm wrong. But watch. We can't let this happen.

I've long said American history is not a fairy tale. It's been a constant push and pull between the best of us and the worst of us.

Trump clearly represents the worst of us.

John Fetterman is a great example of a Democrat who I think may be the most rational, sane Democrat.

The first thing I did when I sat down with him, I apologized to him face-to-face, and I said, "Senator, I owe you an apology, because when I was hosting a television show and you were running for Senate, I was not very nice to you, because I saw you as kind of a "strange bird," and I was campaigning for the other side."

I said, "But once you got elected, I've been watching you and the statements you make, and the fact that you're such a strong supporter of Israel; I owe you an apology."

Tonight, we reached an agreement with the Department of War to deploy our models in their classified network.

In all of our interactions, the DoW displayed a deep respect for safety and a desire to partner to achieve the best possible outcome.

AI safety and wide distribution of benefits are the core of our mission. Two of our most important safety principles are prohibitions on domestic mass surveillance and human responsibility for the use of force, including for autonomous weapon systems. The DoW agrees with these principles, reflects them in law and policy, and we put them into our agreement.

We also will build technical safeguards to ensure our models behave as they should, which the DoW also wanted. We will deploy FDEs to help with our models and to ensure their safety, we will deploy on cloud networks only.

We are asking the DoW to offer these same terms to all AI companies, which in our opinion we think everyone should be willing to accept. We have expressed our strong desire to see things de-escalate away from legal and governmental actions and towards reasonable agreements.

We remain committed to serve all of humanity as best we can. The world is a complicated, messy, and sometimes dangerous place.
