Egypt Expresses Its Condemnation of the Israeli Prime Minister’s Statements

The Arab Republic of Egypt expresses its condemnation of the statements made by the Israeli Prime Minister to an American media outlet yesterday. These statements include baseless claims and deliberate misinformation, which are categorically rejected. They contradict the efforts Egypt has made and continues to make since the start of the aggression on Gaza, including facilitating the entry of urgent humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people—most recently, over 5,000 aid trucks sent from Egypt since the ceasefire—and facilitating the passage of the injured, wounded, and dual nationals.

Egypt affirms that these statements are an attempt to deflect attention from and obscure Israel’s blatant violations against civilians, including the destruction of vital Palestinian infrastructure such as hospitals, educational institutions, electricity grids, and water facilities. Moreover, Israel’s use of siege and starvation as weapons against civilians constitutes a clear violation of international law.

Egypt firmly rejects any statements aimed at displacing the Palestinian people to Egypt, Jordan, or Saudi Arabia. It expresses its solidarity with the courageous people of Gaza, who continue to hold onto their land despite the horrors they endure in defense of their just and legitimate cause. Egypt also reaffirms its unwavering commitment to Arab and Egyptian principles based on the Palestinian people’s right to establish their independent state along the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
