🇺🇸⚠️‼️ BREAKING: Hurricane Helene, a Category 3 storm with winds reaching 120 mph, is now hitting Florida.

As of 2:30 p.m. ET, the storm was located 170 miles southwest of Tampa, moving northeast at 16 mph. The storm poses significant risks to Florida, with FEMA Director Deanne Criswell warning of a "dead-on hit" to Tallahassee. It is expected to make landfall on Florida's Big Bend this evening, bringing the risk of devastating damage.

The National Hurricane Center has issued a storm surge warning for most of Florida's west coast, where surges as high as 20 feet, described as "unsurvivable," are expected. Additionally, hurricane and tropical storm warnings are in effect for southern Florida's coastal areas, urging residents to complete preparations to protect life and property.
