My parents it was a must even though Daddy was claustrophobic so after preaching he would go stand at the back of the church with the Deacon and undo his tie and stand where he could get air. I even went with wet hair because I thought it would be fun to jump in the mud puddle in my dress, well let's just say a fast bath and get a different dress and off we went.
