Windows 11’s October updates begin auditing ReFS volumes on removable drives, extending hardening already introduced in Windows 10 with October’s Windows 10 update. Microsoft plans to make blocking the default in January 2027, giving IT teams time to find affected devices and move data. AI pioneer Andrej Karpathy’s rough estimate puts just 0.24% of people among those who understand AI’s potential and know how to use it: billions have little or no experience with language models, while about 20 million professionals use frontier systems and roughly 5,000 have access inside AI labs. Most users still treat AI as a chatbot or a better search engine rather than as a means of orchestrating agent swarms for complex tasks, a skill that is much more difficult to acquire than expected.
