Компания Microsoft сформировала перевый выпуск проекта Litebox, развивающего сфокусированную на безопасности операционную систему, реализованную в форме библиотеки (Library OS). При подобном подходе сервисы операционной системы напрямую встраиваются в приложение вместо обращения к внешнему ядру ОС при помощи системных вызовов. Litebox может использоваться в программах или ядрах как дополнительный слой изоляции, блокирующий доступ к излишней функциональности ядер или API. Код проекта написан на языке Rust и открыт под лицензией MIT.

Вышел llmhost 0.6.0-beta11

Вышел llmhost — локальный хостинг LLM с автоматическим управлением памятью и спекулятивным декодированием. Планировщик сам выбирает форму загрузки: целиком на карту, эксперты MoE в RAM или частичный сплит, подбирает контекст от свободной VRAM и запоминает живой замер памяти после каждой загрузки, чтобы следующий план был точнее. MTP-головы цепляются автоматически с проверкой совместимости по GGUF-мете. Всё, что автоматика решает сама, переопределяется в llmhost.conf на лету.

Okular-session v1.0.0

Небольшая «обёртка» над Okular, позволяющая сохранять и восстанавливать сессии.
Okular-session сохраняет локальные пути к документам из Okular и восстанавливает их при запуске без аргументов. Для его работы требуется Linux, Bash 4 или более поздняя версия и Okular.
Написана на bash с использованием Codex.
Пример: во вкладках Okular открыт десяток pdf. При перезагрузке xfce (не закрывая Okular) текущая сессия может восстановиться. А может не восстановиться (при этом процесс okular ... -session ... висит, но без окна).
Можно:

запустить Okular через значок Okular Session;
по необходимости (или для сохранения сессии) просто закрыть Okular;
при следующем старте через Okular Session все вкладки с открытыми файлами восстанавливаются.

Edge 157 drops legacy Windows sign-in; admins can test OneAuth now

Microsoft Edge 157, planned for November 2026, will remove Edge’s legacy direct sign-in path through Windows Web Account Manager (WAM) and use OneAuth instead. WAM itself is not being deprecated: OneAuth still relies on it. Most profiles should migrate transparently, but some users may need to sign in again.

Ubuntu website under ‘sustained’ DDoS attack

Ubuntu’s website is currently experiencing a “sustained distributed denial of service attack”. Canonical say some of its online may be ‘intermittently unavailable’ while its team work to resolve the incident. This is the second major attack on the company this year. Back in May, swathes of Canonical infrastructure was taken offline by what was referred to as a “sustained cross-border attack”.
