Windows 365 new features: Reserve, disaster recovery, display protection, and AVD Hybrid

Microsoft's September 2026 recap for Windows 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) lists about two dozen changes. Several of them matter for daily administration: user-initiated provisioning for Windows 365 Reserve, business continuity and disaster recovery settings in Cloud PC configurations, local admin rights in Cloud PC configurations, display protection, TWAIN scanner redirection, and AVD Hybrid. Microsoft's recap is written like a marketing summary, so this article looks at the Microsoft Learn documentation to find out what you must configure and where the limits are. Компрометация регистраторов 3 доменных зон, позволила получить TLS-сертификаты к сервисам Google

Компания Google сообщила об инциденте, в результате которого атакующим удалось получить TLS-сертификаты для отдельных доменов Google (например, google.as), онлайн-сервисов и крупных компаний в зонах ".gh", ".sl" и ".as". Атака совершена через компрометацию регистраторов национальных доменных зон верхнего уровня - ".gh" (Гана), ".sl" (Сьерра-Леоне) и ".as" (Американское Самоа), что позволило заменить DNS-серверы для доменов в этих зонах и перенаправить запросы на серверы злоумышленников. Перенаправив трафик, атакующие смогли подтвердить владение доменами и получить TLS-сертификаты, так как после изменения данных в DNS проверочные запросы от удостоверяющих центров были отправлены не на реальные, а на подменённые хосты и обработаны на них.

Dell AI Data Platform gives agents governed context and faster data prep

Dell is adding a Unified Semantic Layer, Enterprise Knowledge Graph and Knowledge Agents to its AI Data Platform, aiming to give enterprise AI a consistent, governed view of company data. It is also adding NVIDIA cuDF GPU acceleration to its Data Processing Engine, with Dell reporting nearly four times faster processing on average than CPU-only systems. The context features are planned for the first half of 2027; the accelerated engine is scheduled for December 2026.

Anthropic’s cyber program expands Claude Mythos access and eases red-team blocks

Anthropic’s expanded Cyber Verification Program includes Claude Mythos 5.1 alongside other models, with access organized into three tiers for security teams. The safeguards test described by Anthropic, however, used Claude Opus 5.5: it completed 34 of 50 cyber-operation challenges in Red Team Access without being blocked, while Defense Access blocked 46.

В GitHub выявлено 543 тысячи оставленных в репозиториях действующих токенов, ключей и паролей

Компания Truffle Security опубликовала результаты анализа утечек учётных данных в репозиториях на GitHub. В результате сканирования 224 млн репозиториев, насчитывающих 58 миллиардов файлов, было выявлено 543 тысячи уникальных учётных данных (токенов, ключей и паролей), продолжающих действовать. Действующие учётные данные оставались в репозиториях как минимум год, так как в исследовании использовался срез состояния GitHub от 7 августа прошлого года, а проверка актуальности в связанных с учётными данными сервисах была выполнена в конце июля нынешнего года.

Ubuntu 26.10 ships with a ‘slimmed down GRUB

Canonical has made a major change to the way Ubuntu boots on devices with Secure Boot enabled to reduce the attack surface of the boot process. Ubuntu 26.10 uses a signed build of GRUB that no longer supports /boot on Btrfs, XFS, ZFS, LVM, LUKS encryption or software RAID other than RAID1. HFS+, Apple partition table support and JPEG and PNG image loading is also removed. Microsoft Copilot will organize local files and act across Windows

Copilot will soon be able to search local files and perform multi-step tasks across Windows. In a demo, Autopilot found tax documents, renamed and zipped them, then drafted an email to an accountant; it builds on the Copilot super app’s persistent Autopilot agent. Microsoft says Copilot features using this mix of local and cloud AI models are coming over the next few months.
