Microsoft fixes Word 2609’s misplaced PDF saves to SharePoint

Microsoft has fixed a Word for Windows bug that silently sent PDFs meant for SharePoint to a hidden local cache. The issue expanded on the Word 2609 bug that hid PDFs created from network-drive documents; Microsoft says its service fix finished rolling out September 25, 2026.

Основные возможности:

активация и деактивация шрифтов;
пометка шрифтов тегами и группировка шрифтов в наборы;
поиск шрифтов с помощью простых или комбинированных фильтров: по тегам, метаданным, классификации PANOSE, охвату языка, лицензии и технологии шрифта;
подробное инспектирование шрифтов: просмотр глифов, функций OpenType, названий и таблиц TrueType;
тестирование функций OpenType, включая шейпинг с помощью HarfBuzz и поддержкой письменностей с написанием текста справа налево;
поддержка вариативных и цветных шрифтов: глифов CBDT, sbix, COLR и OpenType-SVG;
сравнение глифов нескольких шрифтов, с наложением их друг на друга;
поиск дубликатов шрифтов;
создание каталогов шрифтов в виде файла PDF;
извлечение шрифтов, встроенных в файл PDF (при компиляции с библиотекой PoDoFo не ниже версии 0.10).

Проект написан на языке C++ и распространяется по лицензии GNU GPL 2.

Группа энтузиастов собрала SDK, позволяющий собирать полноценные настольные приложения прямо в браузере.
Система устроена так: инструменты сборки разделены на две части: host и target. Часть target полностью независима от платформы, на которой выполняется компиляция, что позволяет использовать её для сборки приложения на любой платформе, включая браузер.

Исходный код среды доступен на Github под лицензией MIT, там же есть бинарные сборки инструментов. Все без исключения инструменты собираются из исходных кодов внутри среды (для сборки требуется Linux и компилятор, способный собрать GCC 15.2, дальше среда соберёт всё сама).
Доступна онлайн-демонстрация с набором примеров, включая DOOM и демо-версию HoMM2. Не требует регистрации, работает одной страницей, не общается сервером, данные лежат на AWS CDN, отслеживание посещений Яндекс-метрикой.

Microsoft released Windows 11 Insider Preview builds 28020.3142 (Beta channel) and 28120.3151 (Experimental channel) for version 26H1 on October 2, 2026. The main change for administrators is the expanded Cloud rebuild recovery option in the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE). The Experimental build adds drive sanitization and remote control through the Recovery configuration service provider (CSP). Both builds also add precise zoom controls to Magnifier and fix several File Explorer issues.
