An all-new Ubuntu Wiki has gone live, giving the site its first substantive overhaul since 2010. The new wiki is powered by MediaWiki, and brings a slate of feature that improve both backend and frontend features for users. It’ll be easier for editors to maintain and work with, but also Canonical’s own ISV engineers who need to keep it running. Релиз операционной системы NetBSD 10.2

Опубликован релиз операционной системы NetBSD 10.2, который отнесён к категории корректирующих обновлений и включает в основном исправления проблем и уявзимостей, выявленных с момента публикации NetBSD 10.1 в декабре 2024 года. Ветка NetBSD 10 будет поддерживаться до релиза NetBSD 12.0. Для загрузки подготовлены установочные образы размером 639 МБ, доступные в сборках для 57 системных архитектур и 16 различных семейств CPU. Для новых установок рекомендуется использовать недавно опубликованный релиз NetBSD 11.0.

Microsoft 365 has a resilience problem. If attackers compromise privileged accounts or applications, they may be able to delete data, identities, and configuration across the tenant. User-initiated provisioning for Windows 365 Reserve

Microsoft announced the general availability of user-initiated provisioning for Windows 365 Reserve. Windows 365 Reserve is a business continuity service that gives employees short-term access to a Cloud PC, a virtualized Windows desktop hosted in Microsoft's cloud, when their primary work device is unavailable. With this feature, eligible users can start provisioning their own Reserve Cloud PC directly from the Windows App instead of waiting for IT. You control the capability through a Windows App setting in Microsoft Intune and scope it to Microsoft Entra ID user groups.

OpenShot video editor is now available as a snap

The OpenShot video editor is now available on the Canonical Snap Store. An official snap package of the Qt-based non-linear editing tool went live today, September 22. Users can install it from App Center, with the snap version being distinguished from the Deb build carried in the Ubuntu archives by virtue of being newer. ShinyHunters claims FBI hack via PeopleSoft zero-day, demands retraction instead of ransom

ShinyHunters says it breached the FBI through an Oracle PeopleSoft zero-day on FBIjobs.gov and stole 2 to 3 TB of data on current, former and prospective employees. The group is not asking for a ransom. It wants the bureau to retract a May warning about its tactics. The same extortion gang was earlier reported to have exploited a PeopleSoft zero-day to breach more than 100 organizations, and the FBI confirmed it is investigating "unauthorized activity affecting FBIjobs.gov."
