Компания Mozilla объявила о появлении в Firefox для iOS встроенного блокировщика рекламы. Добавленная возможность позволяет блокировать рекламные блоки и код для отслеживания перемещений пользователя на этапе до его загрузки. В отличие от интегрированного в настольную версию Firefox компонента adblock-rust, в версии Firefox для iOS задействована Ad Blocker", которая отключена по умолчанию.

Выпуск системы глубокого инспектирования пакетов nDPI 6.0

Проект ntop, развивающий инструменты для захвата и анализа трафика, опубликовал инструментарий для глубокого инспектирования пакетов nDPI 6.0, продолжающий развитие библиотеки OpenDPI. Проект nDPI основан после безуспешной попытки передачи изменений в репозиторий OpenDPI, который остался без сопровождения. Код nDPI написан на языке Си и распространяется под лицензией LGPLv3.

Состоялся выпуск 6.0.4 mc6 (github.com) — форка Midnight Commander, развиваемого @angel_il.
Версия 6.0.4 основана на GNU Midnight Commander 4.8.33.
Форк развивается по пяти направлениям:

Расширяемые панельные плагины и API, позволяющий им передавать данные друг другу.
Скрипты на Lua, где сам язык — плагин, а не часть ядра.
Просмотрщик структурированных данных, двоичных форматов, журналов и терминальных записей.
Редактор: плагины, рисование, сворачивание, фильтрация, история.

‍Число исправляемых CVE в ядре Linux приблизилось к 2000 на релиз на фоне массового применения ИИ

28 августа сопровождающий стабильных веток ядра Linux Грег Кроа-Хартман опубликовал фрагмент материалов к своему предстоящему докладу на Kernel Recipes 2026 с графиком «CVEs per release». Судя по представленным данным, в выпусках Linux 6.9–6.19 исправлялось в среднем около 500 проблем с назначенными CVE, начиная с Linux 7.0 показатель превысил тысячу, а в Linux 7.2 — полторы тысячи. При сохранении текущей динамики число исправляемых CVE за цикл разработки может приблизиться или превысить 2000.
При этом речь идёт именно о CVE, исправленных в соответствующем цикле, а не о двух тысячах новых уязвимостей, появившихся в очередной версии ядра. На прямой вопрос об этом Кроа-Хартман ответил одним словом: «Fixed». В той же дискуссии он намекнул на причину резкого изменения графика: «как будто какие-то случайные инструменты за последние месяцы стали немного лучше находить ошибки».

Microsoft is turning its Driver Quality Initiative (DQI) into more visible enforcement, with stricter driver-signing checks, cloud-based rollback, and a pilot designed to deliver display drivers only to compatible systems. An infostealer log can bypass MFA—respond within the first hour

A corporate password found in an infostealer log should be treated as a possible live identity compromise, not just an old credential leak. Security teams need to determine within minutes whether the data includes active browser sessions, identity-provider access, VPN or RDP credentials, and then revoke sessions and reset passwords before attackers can use them.
