Некоммерческая организация FreeBSD Foundation представила проект по тестированию FreeBSD на ноутбуках, созданный в рамках инициативы по улучшению поддержки ноутбуков и повышению удобства работы пользователей во FreeBSD. Целью проекта является получение информации о совместимости FreeBSD с различным аппаратным обеспечением, применяемым в современных ноутбуках, что позволит сформировать реалистичное представление об имеющихся проблемах и определить приоритетные направления работы. Результаты проверки будут публиковать на сводной странице, позволяющей оценить уровень поддержки тех или иных моделей ноутбуков во FreeBSD.

Microsoft announced the public preview of the Windows 365 connector for Microsoft Power Platform and Azure Logic Apps on April 2, 2026. The connector lets you build automated workflows around Windows 365 Cloud PCs — the cloud-hosted Windows virtual machines that Microsoft manages for individual users. Using prebuilt building blocks called actions and triggers, you can automate tasks such as notifying users when their Cloud PC is ready, bulk-managing provisioning policies, or reacting automatically to administrative events. The connector is currently in public preview and is classified as a premium connector, which has licensing implications described below.

Rust API and a new plugin system added to Miracle-WM

A new version of Miracle-wm, a tiling window manager built around the Wayland compositor Mir, has been released with a new WebAssembly plugin system and Rust API. Developer Matthew Kosarek, an engineer at Canonical who created miracle-wm as a personal side project, says the new plugin system in v0.9 release will allow for greater window management, animation and configuration, thus making miracle-wm “truly hackable”.
