Orion web browser enters ‘early beta’ on Linux

A public beta of Orion for Linux, a WebKit-based web browser from paid search engine Kagi, is now available for testing. For those unfamiliar with it, Orion is a privacy-focused web browser available for macOS and iOS. Kagi announced plans for a Linux port last year, with subscribers to its Orion+ support tier getting access to Linux alpha builds in January. Now comes a build that anyone can try. CSMWrap воссоздаёт окружение c BIOS на системах UEFI (class 3), упаковывая сборку SeaBIOS в форме модуля CSM (Compatibility Support Module) и запуская как внешнее EFI-приложение. Windows 11 Insider Preview builds 26300 and 26220: Policy-based removal of preinstalled apps

Microsoft released Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26300.8068 (KB 5079464) to the Dev Channel and Build 26220.8062 (KB 5079458) to the Beta Channel. Both updates are based on Windows 11 version 25H2 and are delivered via an enablement package. The releases introduce a stricter kernel-level driver trust policy, expanded enterprise app-removal controls, improvements to point-in-time restore, and a renamed Drop Tray feature. Most changes are initially available to Insiders who enable the early-update toggle in Settings > Windows Update.

📰 Fedora Workstation 44 Beta Benchmarks On The AMD Ryzen AI Max Framework Desktop

Since last week's Fedora 44 Beta release I have been testing out this upcoming Fedora Linux version on a few systems in the lab, most notably with the Framework Desktop powered by the powerful AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 "Strix Halo". Fedora Workstation 44 Beta has been looking nice and running stable albeit in some instances seeing lower performance at this point than Fedora Workstation 43 but overall in good shape.
