I have been using this method for about a month now, since Sword and Shield came out. My SD card reader is ded, so all I could do was restore my NAND and accept that I'll probably won't be hacking my Switch any time soon. Still, when Pokémon came out, I decided to do some research if you could extract your save files from the NAND without Checkpoint/Edizon/CFW in general. And this is how I've been doing it.
