👀 Let Your Time Frame Manage the Trade

Don’t plan a swing trade, then abandon it over a brief move or data release—or defend a short-term setup with a longer-term trend that wasn’t part of the entry. Mixing time frames leads to late decisions, missed opportunities, or holding losers beyond the original premise.

🟢 Use one decision framework

Base decisions on the time frame behind your entry. If you entered on an hourly uptrend, a break in that pattern matters, even if you expect recovery. A single event shouldn’t end a swing trade unless it changes the underlying case. Keep your thesis and management rules aligned.

🟢 Plan your invalidation

Before entry, note the relevant trend, pattern, holding period, and events that could weaken your idea. Identify what matters for your intended holding time.

Before your next trade, ask: Which time frame governs this position? Record it and your invalidation conditions before price moves.
