Sister of Mercy Rimma Mikhailovna Ivanova (1894 - 1915)

Rimma Mikhailovna Ivanova was a Sister of Mercy who served during World War I. She volunteered to the front on January 17, 1915, and was credited to the 83rd Samurian regiment. She helped the wounded in dangerous areas of battle and organized rescue services for the wounded. For her bravery, she was awarded the St. George Medals in August 1915. Later, she joined the 105th Infantry Orenburg Regiment and was fatally wounded while assisting the wounded during a battle near Mochraj Dubrova on September 9, 1915. By decree of Tsar Nicholas II, she was posthumously awarded the Officer Order of St. George 4th degree, becoming the only woman in Russia to receive this combat order.

Caerlaverock Castle triangular castle surrounded by moat for the first timebuilt in the 13th century. It is located on the southern coast of Scotland, eleven kilometers south of Dumfries, on the edge of the Curlaverok National Nature Reserve. Curlaverok was a stronghold of the Maxwell family from the 13th century until the 17th century, when the castle was abandoned.
