WWII
Early on January 9, 1943, Oberfeldwebel Karl Wittmann landed this Focke-Wulf 200 C-3/U2 (Werknummer 0034, "F8+GW") at Pitomnik Airdrome. It came straight from KG 40 on the French Atlantic coast, and still carried KG 40's globe crest. On January 31, 1943 it became one of the last transport planes to be lost at Stalingrad, as it was forced down by Soviet fighters at Pitomnik, which by that time was controlled by the Red Army. Wittmann and his entire crew ended up in captivity: Co-pilot Unteroffizier Hubert Roder, the flight engineer Oberfeldwebel Robert Röser, two radio operators Unteroffizier Karl Gerhard and Obergefreiter Erich Böhm, and the gunner Obergefreiter Karl Pules. The photo was taken shortly after the aircraft had been captured, and Soviet soldiers are seen inspecting the huge machine. Later the machine was test-flown, and after that it was put on display in Moscow.

German Military
Krupp L3H 163 truck - The Krupp L3H 163 was a 6x4, 3-ton class truck produced by Krupp in Germany from 1936 to 1938. It was a further development of the earlier L3H 63, featuring a more powerful 110 hp Krupp M 12a engine. Around 2,000 units were produced, serving with the Wehrmacht during World War II as a general transport vehicle.

The L3H 163 was a robust truck with a high frame ("Hochrahmen"), designed for military use. It had a payload capacity of 3 tons and was powered by a 7.8-liter, six-cylinder petrol engine. It featured a 6x4 drivetrain for improved traction. Various body styles were mounted on the chassis, including cargo beds and radio vans. While reliable, its production numbers were lower compared to the Opel Blitz and Mercedes-Benz LG 3000, which were more widely used in the Wehrmacht.
