what kind of changes ? share share🌸
- stepped into a new position at work, and changed the team. honestly changing who i work with really mattered to me cuz altho i love them, i felt i needed a space to grow more. new environment surely will require some grinding. and the project itself that we are gonna be working on is really interesting, will tell later.
apart from that. developing a new product that we should launch soon. hopefully gonna get investment from Jahongir aka but will see how necessary that is🙌🏻
i felt quite miserable a month ago thinking what my summer would be like. didnt want it to be routine
now tho i can feel there is gonna be some deep focus on work and i love it.

r u gonna continue ur studies at CAU?
- i thought about it a lot. i did consider transferring abroad a lot too.
now im weighing both options equally. i truly believe that the next few years in Uzbekistan are gonna be formative, and it is a great chance to be among those who are part of this change and building the infrastructure. there’s just so much going on and at such a fast pace (not considering that a lot of it show off but still, progress is there). as opposed to highly saturated environments abroad where you’re just gonna be one of the many. but surely one doesn’t erase the other and i think you can get experience and knowledge abroad and come back to Uzb to contribute. its just i think im lucky to be among the right people at the right time.

I really like you. You are a walking inspiration. I once saw you here in the city and almost—almost—followed you (I'm a girl, so don't be freaked out) because you probably don't remember me. 😂 Gosh, I sound like a toxic ex. It may sound crazy, but I've always been attracted to knowledgeable and smart people, so you can understand. Looking back, I've realized you've been so witty and intelligent at a young age. I remember in one of Shohruh teacher's lessons, when we used to make Q-cards and pass them to everyone, my shallow ah brain came with "Who is your favorite Disney princess?" Your answer was, "I don't really like them, honestly. They are all dependent and poorly written. But if I had to choose, it would be Mulan because she actually is strong and had a purpose in the movie." Of course, Shohruh teacher liked your answer and gave examples as to how stupid they are.
- ahahah wow. thanks a lot girl💖
i think it was you who texted me several weeks ago no?
anyway probably we were in the same group during 4th level back in the old days.
and yeah maybe back then i was a bit too categorical (i was young) and would divide people into those who work hard and those who “waste time.” i was REALLY categorical. and was too quick to criticize too.
now i learnt to put away most labels and just observe people. i’m sure there’s smth i can learn from different types of people. and overall i think i got better at finding ways to be in good relationship with different types of people.

would you say you’re a good friend?
- i hope so. yes. i hope my friends agree with this too ahah but i know that if i consider someone “my person” circle, then ill do anything to protect/help/understand them. and i really love giving presents too, little presents. usually at work (remembered i dont do this for my outside of work friends lol). cuz im really bad, terrible, at expressing my feelings (and im not a touchy person either), for my its easier to just give smth. or cook smth for them.
but again im not sure. i dont usually text or call my friends and we meet up once a month at best. but once we do meet we usually spend several hours updating each other on what happens in the meantime.

i did think about this topic for the past few days.
and i just realized that i just wanna be with sm1 that i know it can grow into smth serious. like, to skip all this talking and chatting stuff, so that i can just focus on this one person and know we both want the same thing. i really dont wanna talk to guys at this point.

With whom do you usually advice before making the decisions?
- depends. i used to discuss work and future related questions with Dad before, but i stopped at some point. i had one good friend, a serious working guy, but stopped that too.
so i think rn its just me and my thoughts. you know they say “make decisions based on who you wanna become”, i think its a good piece of advice really.
recently i was listening to this podcast by Emma Grede where she was talking about an “inner mentor”, ur 30yo version, to whom you can reach out to when you dont know what to do.
and i loved this idea so much cuz i usually do that. what would my wiser version do? what would the version that i admire do? what version of myself would i respect more in this situation?
and overall i think especially if you’re a girl, you may tend to search for others approval before making big steps.
i used to be like that for a long time.
even if i knew what was the right next move, i needed sm1 to approve it, esp a male. so i would ask my male friends for advice when in reality i was just scared probably. so i was outsourcing decision making.
yeah
usually a lot of the times you can derive the best decisions if you sit down and clear up ur mind properly.

What qualities usually help people to step up in a workplace?
- taking responsibility. not being afraid to take more work than others.
i think you should just show that you’re dedicated to learning and growing. not just coming and doing whatever tasks you were given.
over time people will know who’s the most reliable person in the team when it comes to more important responsibilities.
but then, if you have the right environment that rewards such behavior. some places just dont let you grow and you should know when to leave.
but still, i do believe every workplace is an opportunity to learn smth.
be it specific technical matters or smth more social.

what is your job? I dont really know what you do so I get a bit lost every time you post something about your work
- ahahah. i used to work at Research Center at my uni. overtime just became the assistant to my manager, Vice-rector. but my work was usually about the matters outside of uni and not strictly following official requirements (maybe one would consider it being a personal assistant). then i started working on my own project inside Research Center. we began doing research studies for whatever questions our uni had (how to attract the best minds to our uni, what most ambitious students want, there was cultural identity too. that was the first one. report ready, will publish only now. now tho related to healthcare, medical projects inside uni, nursing etc ect. sometimes just articles that the uni leadership wants.
changed jobs. now gonna be working with medical projects directly. so basically Akfa is gonna build private policlinics across Tashkent, and our task is gonna be creating managing the system and the app for connecting patiends, doctors and the staff. mostly team coordination and research and talking with developers cuz i know nothing about programming.

there are a lot of people i admire, yet i think this admiration comes as a dissection of their traits and carefully choosing which side specifically is worthy of it. the idea of having a mentor sounds very appealing, yet i don't think i can ever fully commit to giving such a role to one person when you keep facing their different sides.
every great trait of a person comes with its less desirable pair.
there is a young man i know, full of force that keeps pushing him through doors and people without fear or anxiety. it's as if he's blind to his own limitations. and he's so full of joy, living his life truly to the fullest. in moments where i'd find myself brooding, he stands up and never lets self-pity take over.
yet this gaiety also renders him irresponsible and unreliable at times. you wanna go on an adventure with this person, but be aware that he might leave you midway through the desert.
then there are people like my dad. thoughtful, careful, calculating. mature in most situations. and very prideful. yet this pride sometimes borders on fear, fear which doesn't let you cross the lines he's drawn to protect himself and his castle. you know this person will never let you down, that you can always rely on him and his words, yet exactly this certainty and stability makes it impossible to venture into new and uncertain areas. you can feel his fears weighing down on you too if you're not attentive enough.
and there's a woman i used to work for. strong and sharp. i admired her deeply and was almost devoted to her in my loyalty. and while i was always aware of her other sides, upon leaving i got to see them up close, the calculating, the maneuvering, the quiet moves that got her where she is rn. it put some distance between us emotionally, yet i still respect the qualities i admired back then.
and oftentimes, the exact traits that make you ambitious and admirable in others' eyes can be the ones that make you feel vulnerable and prone to overcomplicating things. i've heard one young man say, "if my insecurities are what help me achieve my goals right now, that i have to keep doing things to prove my worth, then i don't mind them. for the time being, they're useful." and i've seen how healthy and normal some of my acquaintances' upbringing was, and how differently we react to the same things in life. i think there are degrees of healthiness in families. some people were soaked so much in love that they rarely question how their actions are perceived by others. some others weren't that lucky, i guess, and found other ways to move forward.
anyway
i think the key in building close relationships with people is choosing what trade-offs you're willing to accept. it's easy to admire the good qualities, but you have to think ahead about the downsides those exact qualities will bring along the way.

i think you have to be in the right mindset to watch miyazaki’s works, to be living in the moment and soaking up all the emotions of wonder about the world around you.
my neighbor totoro is targeted at a fairly young audience, its the first time i’ve watched it.
thought of it more as the ephemeral nature of childhood. and given that it was set shortly after WW2, you can feel how people still move on in life even with the heavy weight of tragedies in the background.
also, as i’ve been reading East of Eden, i found out that it’s soon gonna be made into a TV series. and guess who’s directing and is the main character (Cathy)? Florence Pugh, my favorite of all (she’s in the last screenshot). i usually don’t care much for movies or series, but i feel this one is going to be special.
