Al-Hākem reported that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Jibrīl عليه السلام came to me and said, ‘O Muhammad!
Live as you wish, for you will surely die.
Love whom you wish, for you will surely be separated.
Act as you wish, for you will surely be paid back in kind.’
Then he said, ‘O Muhammad!
Know that the believers’ glory lies in night prayer,
and his dignity in self-sufficiency.’”

If you cannot get rid of it, at least get rid of social media. Let youtube be your source of entertainment if that’s what you’re searching for. Also, make sincere dua that Allah frees you from this attachment. You will see within a week, your desire to go back on these apps will go away bi’idhnillah.
Nothing feels better than feeling in control of how you use your time.
A reminder that helps a lot:
If we experience extreme regret after ramadan because of the time we wasted in that month, how extreme will the regret of wasted time be at the moment of death?

He said, "I only complain of my suffering and my grief to Allah..”
Imām Al-Qurtubī states,
“The reality of Al-Bath (ألبث) [used here to mean grief] is what is cast on the people of those acts of destruction which are not able to be concealed, so calamities became termed as ‘Bath’.
Ibn ‘Abbās (رضي الله عنه) said, “bathaa is affliction or grief”. Al-Hasan al-Basrī (رحمه الله) said, “it means need”. And it is said that it means the most severe sorrow.

"Thus did We plot for Yusuf" Al Qur’an 12:76
Commenting on this, Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullah) wrote:
In the story of Yusuf, Allah draws our attention to the fact that for a believer who places his trust in Allah, if the created beings plot against him, then Allah will plot for him and support him independent of any ability or power of the person himself.

A Muslim should be doing these acts every day:
- Praying 5x
- Praying Sunnah prayers
- Tahajjud
- Dhikr in the morning and evening
- Reading Qur’ān, pondering over its meaning
- Giving charity (even if little)
- Making abundant du’ā
- Self reflection and Tawbah
- Some form of seeking knowledge
Try to implement all of these in your daily life, even if it is only a little that you can do from it, it is better than nothing (except for 5 obligatory prayers, as they must be done in totality, no matter the circumstance)
