Allah says in surah al-Layl [92]:

"As for him who gives and exercises taqwa * and believes in the best * then We will ease him towards ease." [5-7]

Ibn al-Qayyim pointed out that these ayaat mention three causes that bring about ease in one's life. In part of that discussion he wrote:

The second cause is taqwa, which is avoiding what Allah has prohibited. This is one of the most significant factors for bringing about ease, and its opposite is one of the factors that brings about difficulty. For things are made easy for the one with taqwa, both in this life and the next.

A person who does not exercise taqwa, even if some things in his life become easier, things in his hereafter will become more difficult, with the level of difficulty corresponding to how much he abandoned having taqwa.

Ibn Hibbān (rahimahullah) quotes from Muʿtamir Ibn Sulaymān (rahimahullah) said:

My father wrote to me whilst I was in Kūfah (and said): O my son, buy papers and write down knowledge, for indeed, knowledge remains, whilst money does not.

With the passing of every minute, feel that you are in the best of the days of the world, in the great days in the sight of Allah and it's rewards would be multiplied in the scale of your deeds, even if you are in the midst of your preoccupation do not be neglectful of rememberance for it is from the easiest, the quickest and the most benefiting ways of seeking nearness to Allah specially in these blessed days, By Allah no one has any excuse for it.
Ibn Baz رحمه الله said : "A bad deed committed in dhil hijjah is more severe and greater than in Rajab or sha'ban."
