Allāh accepts the dua of the one in difficulty

ʿAbd Allāh al-Makkī said: Ṭāwūs entered upon me while he was visiting me.
‎وبه: قال: حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ جعفر بن سالم، قال: حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الأبار، قال: حَدَّثَنَا محمد بن سلام الجمحي، قال: حَدَّثَنَا عُمَر بن أَبي خليفة العبدي، عن عَبد الله بن أَبي صالح المكي، قال: دخل علي طاووس يعودني.

So I said: “O Abū ʿAbd al-Raḥmān make duʿāʾ for me.”
‎فقلت: يا أبا عبد الرحمن، ادع الله لي،

So he replied: “Make duʿāʾ for yourself. For indeed Allāh responds to the one in difficulty when he supplicates to Him.”
‎فقال: ادع لنفسك فإنه يجيب المضطر إذا دعاه.

A person is not honoured or raised except by what he knows and has memorised. For that reason the bearers of Qur’an are the nobles of this Ummah and its righteous.

[Imam Ibn al-Jazari’s (rahimahullāh) praise for the Qur’an bearer, Muqaddimah of ‘Tayyibat al-Nashr.’]

﴿قالَ إِنَّما أَشكو بَثّي وَحُزني إِلَى اللَّهِ وَأَعلَمُ مِنَ اللَّهِ ما لا تَعلَمونَ﴾

"عن قتادة قال: ذُكر لنا أن نبي الله يعقوب لم ينزل به بلاءٌ قط إلا أتى حُسْنَ ظنّه بالله من ورائه.

وعن الحسن قال: قيل: ما بلغ وجدُ يعقوب على ابنه؟ قال: وجد سبعين ثكلى!. قال: فما كان له من الأجر؟ قال: أجر مئة شهيدٍ.
قال: وما ساء ظنه بالله ساعةً من ليل ولا نهارٍ".

لا تيأسن فنِعمَ القادر الله

- ﻗﺎﻝ ابن مسعود رضي الله عنه:

"ﻭاﻟﻠﻪ اﻟﺬﻱ ﻻ ﺇﻟﻪ ﻏﻴﺮه، ﻻ ﻳﺤﺴﻦُ ﻋﺒﺪٌ ﺑﺎﻟﻠﻪِ ﻇﻨَّﻪ ﺇﻻ ﺃﻋﻄﺎه اﻟﻠﻪ ﺇﻳﺎه."

Reviewing The Quran Portion That You Will Recite in Salah

Khaythamah (rahīmahullāh) who said:

I came to ʿAbd Allah ibn ʿAmr (ibn al-‘Aas - radiyAllāhu ‘anhu), while he was looking in the Muṣḥaf:

I said: “What exactly are you reading in the Muṣḥaf?”

He (radiyAllāhu ‘anhu) said: “My usual portion (hizb) which I will recite when I stand the night in prayer.”

[Abū Muʿāwiyah (rahimahullah) narrated to us: From al-Aʿmash (rahimahullah) From Khaythamah (rahimahullah) when he asked ‘Amr Ibn al-‘Aas (radiyAllahu anhu), Ibn Abī Shaybah (rahīmahullāh), al-Muṣannaf, 6/143, 30176

'Abdullah bin 'Amr bin al-'As (radiyAllahu ‘anhu) reported: Messenger of Allah (sallAllahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said to me,

“O Abdullah! Do not be like so-and-so. He used to get up at night for voluntary prayer but abandoned it later.”

[al-Bukhari and Muslim, Riyadh as-Saliheen, 154]

ما رأيت أقوى من الدعاء في إصلاح علاقة العبد بربّه ! حتى وأنت غارق في بحر الذنوب لا تترك الدعاء، لا تترك سؤال الله بصدق أن يُعينك ويدلّك عليه ، ويهديك سبيل الرشاد .. أحيانًا قد تعرف الحلول ، لكن ينقصك الدعاء ، ينقصك اللجوء لله والانكسار له وسؤاله العون والتسديد والتأييد.

قال ابن القيِّـم -رحمه الله- :

‏فإنـه لا نعيم ولا لذَّة ولا ابتهاج ولا كمال إلا بمعرفَـة الله ومحبّته والطمأنينـة بذكره والفرح والإبتهاج بقربه والشوق إلى لقـائـه .

فهذه جنتـه العاجلة كما أنه لا نعيم له في الآخرة ولا فوز إلا بجواره في دار النعيم في جنته الآجله فله جنتان لايدخل الثانيَـة منهما من لم يدخل الأولى

For the heart has no bliss, no delight, no blossoming, no perfection except in knowing Allah and loving Him, resting in His remembrance, rejoicing and blooming in His nearness, yearning His meeting. This is an early taste of his Jannah.

Just as a person has no bliss in the afterlife, nor success, except in nearness to Him in the abode of bliss in the later Jannah.

Thus, for him are two gardens: he shall not enter the second of the two if he does not enter the first one.

وسمعت شيخ الإسلام ابن تيمية
يقول: إن في الدنيا جنة من لم يدخلها لم يدخل جنة الآخرة.


ibn Taymiyah رحمه الله said:

Indeed there is a jannah in this world, whoever does not enter it, shall not enter the jannah of the afterlife.

- مدارج السالكين ٤٧

لا تُرهق قلبك بالحزن؛
Don’t exhaust your heart with sadness;

فإنَّه لا يردُّ مفقودًا،
for it does not return a lost one,

ولا يحفظ موجودًا،
nor does it protect a living one.

واملأ قلبك بما يُقوِّيه من الثِّقة بالله،
Fill your heart with that which strengthens it: from putting your trust in Allah,

وتفويض الأمر إليه،
entrusting your affairs to Him,

والاعراض عن الالتفات لغيره،
avoiding turning to anyone but Him,

وحسن الظَّنِّ به،
thinking positively of Him,

واليقين أنَّ الخِيرة فيما اختاره،
and being certain that good is in what He chose.

فتلك سلوة الحزين،
This is the consolation of the sad one,

وسكينة قلوب المؤمنين.
and the tranquility of the hearts of the believers. 💜

If you happen to slip into disobedience, don't give up on your ‏obedience. Don’t be defeated twice.
