Ibn abee Shaybah narrated with a strong chain of narration from Āishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said, “If I knew which night Laylat ul-Qadr was, I wouldn’t ask Allah for anything but al-Āfiyah.”

Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said in Shifāa al-Aleel (111), “The Lord is not asked for something more beloved to Him than al-Āfiyah, because it is a comprehensive word (used) to rid oneself of all evils and their causes.”

Ibn al-Qayyim (rahimahullah) said:

The best of those who do any action are those who remember Allāh the most whilst performing it.

The best of those who fast are those who remember Allāh the most whilst fasting.

The best of those who give charity are those who remember Allāh the most.

The best of those who perform the Hajj are those who mention Allāh the most.

The same applies to the rest of the actions.

The nobility of a Muslim is in performing the prayer in the darkness of night and not being desperate for what is in the hands of the people (i.e. their possessions)

There is nothing I find more pleasing to my heart than Qiyam al Layl (i.e., the night prayer)

Etiquettes of Salaf in completing the Ramadaan - Part 2️⃣

➡️ Completing Ramadaan with Perfection and Excellence and being worried about its acceptance.

Tomorrow the souls will be repaid what they earned,
And the sowers will harvest what they sowed,

If they did well, they did well for their own selves,
And if they did poorly, then how wretched is what they did!

➡️The pious predecessors used to exert themselves in completing an action, and perfecting it, and excelling in it, and then they would be concerned about its acceptance after that, and fear that it might be rejected. And these are those who “give what they give while their hearts are fearful [because they will be returning to their Lord]” [23:60].

It is narrated from ‘Ali (raadiAllaahu ‘anhu) that he said, “Be more concerned about the acceptance of deeds than about the deeds themselves. Haven’t you heard Allah say, “Indeed, Allah only accepts from the muttaqoon” [5:27]?

And Faḍaalah ibn ‘Ubayd said, “That I would know that Allah has accepted so much as a mustard seed’s weight from me is more beloved to me than the dunya and everything in it, for Allah says, “Indeed, Allah only accepts from the muttaqoon” [5:27].

For any menstruating sisters and ill person during these final nights, don’t despair!
Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:

”If the Night of Qadr was some night during the entire year, I’d stand in night prayer the entire year to get it. So what do you suppose should be done for merely ten nights?.”

"Donating a single dirham while I'm alive is more beloved to me than having a hundred dirhams donated on my behalf after my death."

~ Maymūn ibn Mihrān (d.145H)

Imam Ahmad recorded from Zirr that he asked Ubayy bin Kab,

"O Abu Al-Mundhir! Verily, your brother Ibn Mas
ud says whoever stands for prayer (at night) the entire year, will catch the Night of Al-Qadr."
