﴿ۖ فَإِذَا عَزَمْتَ فَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُتَوَكِّلِينَ.﴾
“And when you have resolved, then rely upon Allah. Indeed, Allah loves those who rely [upon Him].”
Reliance (tawakkul) is to depend upon Allah in attaining benefits, preserving them after they are obtained, and in repelling harms and removing them after they occur.
It is among the highest spiritual ranks for two reasons:
First, His statement: “Indeed, Allah loves those who rely [upon Him].”

«واعلم أن المؤمن يجتمع له في شهر رمضان جهادان لنفسه:
1- جهادٌ بالنهار على الصيام،
2- وجهادٌ بالليل على القيام. فمن جمع بين هذين الجهادين، ووفّى بحقوقهما، وصبر عليهما، وُفِّيَ أجره بغير حساب».
Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali said:
“Know that in the month of Ramadan, the believer undertakes two struggles against the self:
A struggle during the day through fasting,
And a struggle during the night through standing in prayer.
Whoever combines these two struggles, fulfills their rights, and remains patient upon them, will be given his reward without measure.”

“And Allah loves that His servants ask Him. In fact, the more a servant shows care and devotion to supplication (duʿāʾ), the greater his share and portion of Allah’s love for him.

And he ﷺ also said: ‘Indeed, whoever does not ask Allah, He becomes angry with him.’”

Recite the القرآن, make up for your shortcomings, lengthen your السجود, increase your voluntary prayers, persist in your الدعاء, check on your soul, and make this Ramadan a purification for yourself.

اللَّهُمَّ إنَّهَا أَيَّامًا تَمْضِي سَرِيعًا فَاجْعَلْ لَنَا فِيهَا نَصِيبًا مِنَ الرَّحْمَةِ وَالْمَغْفِرَةِ وَالْعِتْقِ مِنَ النَّارِ
O Allah, these are days that pass quickly, so grant us in them a share of mercy, forgiveness, and freedom from the Fire.

guidance isn’t a flex and faith isn’t a competition.
everyone’s journey looks different and timing belongs to Allāh سبحانه وتعالى.

believers are meant to hold each other up, not push each other away.
today they’re trying. tomorrow they might be steadier than us.

There was a man who used to commit many sins. When the time of his death came, he said to his sons: When I die, burn my body, then crush it into powder, and scatter it in the wind. By Allah, if my Lord gets hold of me, He will punish me in a way He has never punished anyone. After he died, his family did exactly as he had instructed.
Then Allah commanded the earth:
Collect whatever of him is within you. So the earth gathered him, and suddenly he was standing alive again.
Allah asked him: What made you do this?
He replied: Ya Rabb it was because I feared You. So Allah forgave him. In another narration, he said: Because of fear of You, Ya Rabb.

Ibn al Qayyim رحمه الله said:

He, the Exalted manages His servants according to these two attributes. The true and sincere worshiper will praise Allah when He gives to him and will turn to Allah when He prevents him from something. Allah, the Exalted gives to him in order to be praised and prevents him in order to be asked. The sincere servant will always praise Allah and ask Him.
[Al Fawaid, p. 121]

Fasting is a secret between the servant and his Lord that no one else can perceive, because it is composed of an inward intention that none knows except Allah, and refraining from indulging in desires which are usually done in private. Therefore, it has been said that the recording angels do not write it down. And it has also been said that there is no showing off in it.

A very important reminder to not be negligent during this season of obedience
«ووالله ما أُصيب العبد ببلاءٍ أعظم من بلاءِ الغفلةِ عن مواسِم الطاعات، ولا خُذل في الدُنيا والآخرة مثل من ضيّع فُرص القُرب إلى الله عز وجلّ حين فُتحت له الأبواب»
“By Allah, a servant is not afflicted with any calamity greater than the calamity of heedlessness during the seasons of worship; and no one is forsaken in this world and the Hereafter like the one who wastes the opportunities to draw near to Allah, Mighty and Majestic, when the doors have been opened for him.”

أياما معدودات
The previous Ummah were given very long lifespans, and they had a lot of time to perform good deeds. But the lifespan of this Ummah is generally between fifty to sixty years. But Allah blessed this Ummah with special times in which small deeds bring very great rewards.
For example, the month of Ramadan where even saying Subhan Allah once carries immense reward, far greater than normal days. And this month there is one night, Laylatul Qadr, which is better than a thousand months.
So we must truly value these opportunities. Allah Himself described Ramadan as أياما معدودات meaning only a few counted days. Allah did not say many long days. And from these counted days, ten fasts have already passed, and only twenty remain.
Fasting is a great act of worship, but it is also very delicate. Because of our small carelessness and mistakes, the reward of it can decrease. We must protect our fast from every قول الزور (false or bad speech) and. فعل الزور (wrong actions). We should protect it from bad talk, useless matters, and every sinful action done by our tongue, hands, feet, or eyes. Otherwise, a person may lose the reward of his fasting
Therefore, we must be very careful about this. If we strive sincerely and protect our fasting properly, then In sha Allah, on the Day of Judgment we will meet Allah and receive the complete reward of our fast.

There is no sin upon you for what you do by mistake, but the sin is in what your hearts deliberately intend. And Allah is Ever Forgiving and Most Merciful.
