Fix your matters right with your Muslim brother, otherwise it may happen that you fast all day, recite the Qur’an, and stand in prayer at night, but none of it is accepted by Allah because of small things.

Rasoolullah ﷺ said:
The gates of Paradise are opened on Monday and Thursday, and every servant who does not associate anything with Allah is forgiven, except a man who has hostility between him and his brother. It is said: ‘Delay these two until they reconcile, delay these two until they reconcile, delay these two until they reconcile.

"the best thing with which the servant welcomes ramadan is Seeking repentance, and sincere repentance is accepted, no matter how great the sin is."

One of the reasons for being deprived of acts of obedience
and for a weak connection to the Qur’an in Ramadan is being careless with what one listens to and looks at — for they are the greatest gateways leading to the heart.

A servant only truly tastes the sweetness of worship through the heart; so if the heart weakens, the limbs weaken in performing righteous deeds.

So guard your hearing and your sight, if you find yourself weak in worshipping Allah

This great season for the Hereafter is a time for a Muslim to prepare themselves with the determination to its proper use from the beginning of it to the ending with good deeds that raise their ranks and forgive their sins.

Among these deeds are:

1. To protect their fast from anything that diminishes or corrupts it.

2. To maintain the night prayers with the Imams in the mosques.

3. To strive for generosity and benevolence, following the example of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). As narrated by Al-Bukhari (8) and Muslim (6009) from Ibn Abbas, who said:
"The Prophet (peace be upon him) was the most generous of people, and he was even more generous during Ramadan when he met Jibriel. Jibriel used to meet him every night of Ramadan and review the Quran with him." The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was more generous with good deeds than a fast-moving wind. And A person should read and reflect on the Quran abundantly during this month.

4. To take advantage of the means to obtain forgiveness and be cautious not to miss out on istigfar/ forgiveness during this month.

5. To avoid wasting the nights of Ramadan with frivolous entertainment, watching movies, or TV shows, especially those that portray the Companions.

6. To strive to revive the last ten nights of Ramadan in worship.

7. Just as a Muslim is diligent in fasting during Ramadan, it is even more important for them to be diligent in performing the five daily prayers on time, as they are the foundation of Islam.

8. After the month of Ramadan has passed, and the Muslim has experienced the joy and devotion in worship, it is good fate for him to continue drawing closer to Allah through good deeds.

I ask Allah عزوجل to grant success to the Muslims in fasting and standing in prayer during the month of Ramadan in a way that pleases Him and brings them closer to Him. May He reform their hearts, words, and actions. Indeed, He is the All-Hearing, the Responsive.

He said: ‘O Muhammad, whoever reaches the month of Ramadan and then dies without being forgiven and thus enters the Fire, may Allah distance him. Say: Ameen.’ So I said: Ameen.

He said: ‘And whoever you are mentioned in his presence and he does not send prayers upon you, then dies and enters the Fire, may Allah distance him. Say: Ameen.’ So I said: Ameen.”

And they were not commanded except to worship Allāh, [being] sincere to Him in religion, inclining to truth, and to establish prayer and to give zakāh. And that is the correct religion

The people said, “Ya Rasoolullah ﷺ, will we see our Lord on the Day of Resurrection?”

He ﷺ said, “Do you have any difficulty seeing the sun at noon when there are no clouds?”

They said, “No.”

He ﷺ said, “Do you have any difficulty seeing the full moon on a clear night when there are no clouds?”

They said, “No.”

He ﷺ said, “By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, you will not have any difficulty in seeing your Lord, just as you do not have difficulty seeing one of them.”

He ﷺ said: Then Allah will meet a servant and say, “O so-and-so, did I not honor you, make you a leader, give you a spouse, and subject horses and camels to you, and allow you to lead and live comfortably?”

He will say, “Yes.”

Allah will say, “Did you think that you would meet Me?”

He will say, “No.”

So ALLAH will say, “Then I will forget you as you forgot Me.”

Then ALLAH will meet the second person and say the same. He will say, “Yes, my Lord.”

ALLAH will say, “Did you think that you would meet Me?”

He will say, “No.”

So ALLAH will say, “Then I will forget you as you forgot Me.”

Then ALLAH will meet the third person and say the same things.

The person will say, “My Lord, I believed in You, in Your Book, and in Your Messengers. I prayed, fasted, and gave charity,” and he will praise himself as much as he can.

Allah will say, “Here then.”
Then it will be said to him, “Now We will bring Our witness against you.”
He will think to himself, “Who will testify against me?”

Then his mouth will be sealed, and it will be said to his thigh, his flesh, and his bones, “Speak.”

So his thigh, flesh, and bones will speak about his deeds.

This is so that he will have no excuse for himself.

And that is the hypocrite, and that is the one with whom Allah is angry.

[Sahih Muslim - 2968]
It has been reported in the Sunan of Tirmidhi from the hadith of Abu Hurairah from the Prophet of Allah (peace be upon him) that he said:

"When the first night of the month of Ramadan begins, the devils and the rebellious jinn are shackled, the doors of Hell are closed, and none of its doors are opened. The doors of Paradise are opened, and none of its doors are closed.

A caller announces: 'O seeker of good, come forward, and O seeker of evil, desist!'

And Allah has those whom He frees from the Fire, and this happens every night."

On the authority of Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him), who said:
The Prophet ﷺ used to give his companions glad tidings, saying:

The month of Ramadan has
come to you — a blessed month.

Allah has made fasting it obligatory upon you. In it, the gates of Paradise are opened, and the gates of Hell are closed.

In it, the devils are chained. In it is a night better than a thousand months; whoever is deprived of its goodness has truly been deprived.

Some scholars said: This hadith is a basis for people congratulating one another upon the arrival of the month of Ramadan.

Whoever stands (in prayer) during Ramadan with faith and hoping for reward, his previous sins will be forgiven.

Whoever prays with the imam until he finishes, it will be written for him as if he prayed the whole night.

By Allah, if the people in the graves were told to make a wish, they would wish for one day of Ramadan.

Fifty Proven Supplications from Our Prophet
Do not forget that Ramadan is the month of Dua.

Allah the Exalted said, following the verses about fasting:

And when My servants ask you concerning Me, indeed I am near. I respond to the supplication of the supplicant when he calls upon Me.

(Al-Baqarah 2:186)

And the Prophet ﷺ said:

Three supplications are not rejected: the fasting person until he breaks his fast, the just ruler, and the supplication of the oppressed.

Narrated by Ahmad.

“Fasting is a shield. So when one of you is fasting, he should not speak indecently or act ignorantly. If someone fights him or insults him, he should say, ‘I am fasting,’ twice.
By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, the smell from the mouth of a fasting person is better to Allah than the fragrance of musk.(Allah says about the fasting person) He leaves his food, his drink, and his desires for My sake. Fasting is for Me, and I will reward it. And every good deed is rewarded ten times its like.”
