The Validity of the Fast When Breaking It Out of Ignorance
Shaykh Ibn ʿUthaymīn رحمه الله said:
“If a fasting person consumes something from these things that break the fast out of ignorance, then his fast is valid—whether he was ignorant of the time or ignorant of the ruling.
An example of ignorance of the time is when a man gets up at the end of the night and thinks that dawn has not yet broken, so he eats and drinks, then it becomes clear that dawn had already broken. His fast is valid because he was ignorant of the time.
An example of ignorance of the ruling is when a fasting person undergoes cupping (ḥijāmah) while not knowing that cupping breaks the fast. It is then said to him: your fast is valid.
The evidence for this is the statement of Allah تعالى:
“Our Lord, do not hold us accountable if we forget or make a mistake. Our Lord, do not place upon us a burden as You placed upon those before us. Our Lord, do not burden us with that which we have no strength to bear. Pardon us, forgive us, and have mercy on us. You are our Protector, so grant us victory over the disbelieving people.”
This is from the Qur’an.
And from the Sunnah is the hadith of Asmāʾ bint Abī Bakr رضي الله عنهما, narrated by al-Bukhārī in his Ṣaḥīḥ.
She said: “We broke our fast on a cloudy day during the time of the Prophet ﷺ, then the sun appeared.”Thus, they had broken their fast during the daytime, but they did not know; rather, they thought that the sun had set. The Prophet ﷺ did not order them to make up the fast. Had making it up been obligatory, he would have ordered them to do so, and had he ordered them, it would have been transmitted to us.”
(Majmūʿ al-Fatāwā, 19)

Imam Ibn al Qayyim رحمه الله said:
There is nothing more beloved to Shaitan than the sadness of a believer.
Therefore, rejoice, be hopeful, remain optimistic, and think well of Allah, so that you may enjoy peace of mind.

"Sadness, grief, pain, suffering, calamities, and trials are expiations for sins. Nothing afflicts a servant, not even a thorn prick, without it being an expiation for their sins.
If someone complains of a toothache or insomnia at night, these too are means of expiating sins.
If something afflicts you : do not say, 'If only I had done this or that.'

Some of the spiritually aware have said:
“The elite are not touched by sorrow at all.”
And his (Ibn al-Qayyim’s) statement — may Allah have mercy on him —
“Knowing Allah: its light dispels every darkness, and its joy removes every distress” is speech of the highest beauty.
For whoever truly knows Allah will inevitably love Him, and whoever loves Him, the clouds of darkness are lifted from him.
Worries, grief, and sadness are removed from his heart, and his heart is filled with joy and happiness. Glad tidings and good news come to him from every direction. There is no sorrow when Allah is present — ever.
For this reason, Allah the Exalted said, narrating the words of His Prophet ﷺ when he said to his companion Abu Bakr:
“Do not grieve; indeed, Allah is with us.” (Qur’an 9:40)
This proves that there is no sorrow with Allah, and whoever has Allah with him — what place does sorrow have for him?
True sorrow — all sorrow — belongs only to the one who has lost Allah.
Whoever has gained Allah, over what could he grieve?
And whoever has lost Allah, over what could he rejoice?
Allah the Exalted says:
“Say: In the bounty of Allah and in His mercy — in that let them rejoice.” (Qur’an 10:58)
So rejoicing in His bounty and mercy is a result of rejoicing in Him, Glorified be He.
The believer rejoices in his Lord more than anyone else rejoices in what they love — whether it be a beloved person, life itself, wealth, blessings, or dominion.
The believer’s joy in his Lord surpasses all of that.
The heart does not attain true life until it tastes this joy and delight. Its happiness then appears in the heart and its radiance on the face, until the believer reaches a state resembling that of the people of Paradise, about whom Allah said that He met them with radiance and joy.

When the wind blows, its leaves bend in the direction the wind comes from, and when the wind becomes calm, it stands upright again.
In the same way, a believer is shaken by trials and hardships, but he does not break.
And the example of a disbeliever is like a tall, hard tree, standing stiff and firm, until Allah breaks it suddenly when He wills.
The example of a believer is like a tender plant.

The Servant of Allah is not perfect
In this hadith, Rasoolullah ﷺ has given a very beautiful comparison.
Allah granted him Jawami‘-ul-Kalim (the ability to express deep meanings in a few words).
That is why he compared the believer to a soft and fresh crop, which sometimes bends due to the wind and then becomes upright again.
And the hypocrite is compared to the arza (cedar/pine-like) tree.
This tree lives for a very long time and is extremely hard, strong, and rigid.
But when it finally falls, it is uprooted and destroyed all at once
The meaning of comparing a believer to a plant
Because when a command from Allah reaches him, he accepts it and remains content.
If he receives something good, he becomes happy and is grateful.
And if hardship or a trial comes to him, he remains patient and hopes for reward from Allah.
When the hardship passes, he straightens himself again and returns to gratitude. In this matter, people are of different types:
Some people look at the reward of the trial, so the hardship becomes light for them. Others understand that this is the decision of the Owner over His own dominion, so they submit and do not object.
The reason for comparing the hypocrite to a hard tree
Because Allah does not test him through trials. Rather, He gives him ease in this world so that his condition becomes difficult in the Hereafter. Then, when Allah wills to destroy him, He breaks him all at once, and his death becomes more painful for him and a greater punishment at the time his soul is taken.
This hadith also makes it clear that trials are an ongoing Sunnah of Allah for His servants, and that for a believer, these trials are actually a mercy and kindness from Allah.

نصيحة من قلب مشفق .
A piece of advice from a compassionate heart:
لا تنتظر أن يبدأ رمضان لتجاهد في العبادة، لا بد أن تتدرج من الآن القلب يحتاج وقت ليتفرغ ويلين، والعقل يحتاج وقت ليصفى .
Don’t wait for Ramadan to start striving in worship. You need to gradually prepare from now. The heart needs time to focus and soften, and the mind needs time to clear.
ستخسر رمضان لو بدأت ۱ رمضان !
You will lose Ramadan if you wait until the 1st of Ramadan!
لذلك عود نفسك من الآن، ضم اثنين وخميس، قم الليل ولو بركعة اقرأ صفحات من القرآن، تصدق على مسكين، أكثر من ذكر الله ....
Therefore, train yourself from now—fast on Mondays and Thursdays, pray at night even if it's just one unit of prayer, read pages from the Quran, give charity to the needy, and increase your remembrance of Allah...
وقبل كل شي تخفف من دنياك
ليدخل رمضان وأنت مستعد بإذن الله .
And before everything, lighten the burdens of this world, so that when Ramadan arrives, you are prepared, with Allah’s permission.

سورة لقمان، ١٢
And indeed, We gave Luqman wisdom, saying: “Be grateful to Allah.” Whoever is grateful, he is grateful for his own benefit. And whoever is ungrateful, then surely Allah is Free of need and Praiseworthy.

A man once asked Hazrat Luqman Hakeem
“What is the reason that people sit in your gatherings, come to your door, and listen to your words with interest?”
Hazrat Luqman Hakeem replied:
“Brother, if you act upon the things I tell you, you will also become like me:
– Keep your eyes away from what is forbidden
– Stop your tongue from useless and indecent speech
– Always earn and eat halal
– Protect your modesty
– Always speak the truth
– Fulfil your promises
– Honor your guests
– Care for your neighbors
– Leave useless and pointless actions
Because of these habits, I was given respect and honor.
[Tafsir ibn e kaseer]

Duaa For Someone You Have Insulted, Cursed or Harmed
اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَرٌ فَأَيُّ الْمُسْلِمِينَ لَعَنْتُهُ أَوْ سَبَبْتُهُ فَاجْعَلْهُ لَهُ زَكَاةً وَأَجْرًا
O Allah, I am only human, so any Muslim whom I curse or revile, make it purification and reward for him.
صحيح مسلم ٢٦٠٠ (٦٦١٤)
اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَرٌ فَأَيُّ الْمُسْلِمِينَ لَعَنْتُهُ أَوْ سَبَبْتُهُ فَاجْعَلْهُ لَهُ زَكَاةً وَأَجْرًا

Whoever finds that his heart does not open, and that he does not attain the sweetness of faith or the light of guidance, then let him increase in repentance and seeking forgiveness, and let him persist in striving to the best of his ability.
For Allah says:
﴿والَّذينَ جاهدُوا فينا لنَهدِينَّهم سُبُلنا﴾
“And those who strive for Us—We will surely guide them to Our ways.”
And he must uphold the obligatory duties—seeking help from Allah, and fosaking all power and strength except through Him.
