Do not grieve over what has afflicted you or what you have missed.

Everything that has afflicted you in this world,

And everything you have missed from this world,

If you seek the reward for it (with patience and trust in Allah),

Then it is preserved for you, stored up in a better, purer, and more abundant form...

So do not grieve over what has afflicted you or what you have missed.

As for what you missed,

Even if it came with the whole world in its beauty and treasures,

It is not equal to the space of a whip in Paradise.

The Prophet ﷺ said: "The space of a whip in Paradise is better than the world and all that is in it."

And as for what has afflicted you,

It was written for you

Fifty thousand years before the creation of the heavens and the earth.

The Prophet ﷺ said: "Allah wrote the decrees of all creation fifty thousand years before He created the heavens and the earth."

Allah the Exalted said:

"No calamity befalls on the earth or in yourselves,

Except that it is in a Book before We bring it into being,

Indeed that, for Allah, is easy.

So that you do not grieve over what has escaped you…"
[Surah Al-Hadid, 57:22–23]

‏Qiyam al-Layl is an act of worship that connects the heart to Allah Almighty during a time when sounds have subsided, eyes are closed, and those asleep turn on their beds

Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) said:
"Pray two units of prayer in the darkness of the night for the darkness of the graves."
Qiyam al-Layl reminder:

Muhammad ibn Yusuf said:
Sufyan al-Thawri would wake us up at night and say: "Get up, young men, and pray while you are still young.
If you don't pray today, then when?"

“Be optimistic, for every affliction less than Hellfire is well-being, and every hardship less than the grave is ease, and every sin short of shirk (associating partners with Allah) is forgivable. Even if you do not see the beauty in tribulations, know that everything decreed by the Most Glorious is beautiful.”

"Do you marvel at the command of Allah?"

This magnificent verse resonates in the heart more deeply than all human reassurance.

The wonder is not in dreams coming true, the real wonder is that you know Allah — the Most Generous, the Giver of mighty gifts — and yet you despair.

"How many distant goals and cherished wishes were brought closer by prayer!!"
Imam dhahabi said :

"Whoever persists in supplication and continues to knock on the door, it will be opened for him."

Etiquette of Quran Recitation

The person reciting the Holy Qur’an should sit for recitation in a state of complete purity, with clean clothes, perfumed, having used the miswak, calm, humble, and modest.

He should be mindful of the greatness of Allah Almighty, reflect deeply on the meanings of the Qur’an, and be emotionally affected by its verses and rulings. As Allah says:

“The believers are only those who, when Allah is mentioned, their hearts tremble, and when His verses are recited to them, it increases them in faith, and upon their Lord they rely.” [Al-Anfal: 2]

The Qur’an reciter should also exemplify good manners, dignity, and respect.

He should recite the Qur’an in a measured and melodious manner (with tarteel and tajweed), giving each letter its due right and characteristics—such as correct pronunciation, articulation points, elongations (madd), nasalizations (ghunnah), and other rules of tajweed—hoping for Allah’s acceptance of his recitation and seeking His Paradise and pleasure.

"Whoever makes the world (this life) his concern, Allah will scatter his affairs, place poverty before his eyes, and he will not obtain from the world except what has been decreed for him.

But whoever makes the Hereafter his intention, Allah will gather his affairs, place richness in his heart, and the world will come to him submissively
.”

What's meant for you will always find its way to you.

Life is too precious to waste on sadness over what's beyond your control.

and you'll find peace and happiness.
Who are the People of the Qur'an and its Bearers?

Among the sayings that gladden the heart of a believer is the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying:
"Indeed, Allah has His own people among mankind."
They asked: "O Messenger of Allah, who are they?"
He replied: "They are the people of the Qur’an — the people of Allah and His chosen ones."

So, who are the people of Allah and His special ones?

His saying: (Ahlīn)— meaning "people"— refers to family or close associates. The "people" in this context are the allies and beloved ones.

Thus, the people of the Qur'an are those uniquely attached to it.

Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) said, in the context of discussing whether it's better to recite the Qur’an slowly with reflection or quickly with more quantity:

"Therefore, the people of the Qur’an are those who have knowledge of it and act upon what it contains, even if they do not memorize it by heart. As for the one who memorizes it but does not understand or act upon it, then he is not from its people — even if he perfectly recites its letters like an arrow hitting its mark."
"How hard life would be were it not for the paradise of the Qur'an."
سبل السلام pinned «Why should you memorize the Qur'an? شرف في الدنيا والآخرة - Honor in This Life and the Hereafter «إن الله يرفع بهذا الكتاب أقوامًا، ويضع به آخرین » "Indeed, Allah elevates some people through this Book and brings down others through it." رواه مسلم (Narrated…»

"The true winner is the one who spends their life with the Qur'an — as a seeker, a reciter, and a teacher."
He Rasulullah sallahu alayhi wassalam said:

"When one of you prays (makes supplication), let him ask with great desire and expectation, for nothing is too great for Allah."

"Life is short and full of struggle."
The Most Merciful does not torment the one who seeks forgiveness

And whose tongue, with the remembrance, is purer than musk

So seek forgiveness—for sins are deadly (to the heart)

And the verses are a reminder for the one who seeks insight
And they used to encourage one another during hardships.

Indeed, it is only a few short days — and the promised meeting is in Paradise.
